I know, just messing with you. I tell myself I'm over trying to push it because it's not worth sustaining an injury. Then I start feeling good and the 25 year old deep inside me gets a jolt of testosterone and wants to play Superman. Now it hurts to do anything over my head.Ha. Not saying you in particular. Happened to me about 10 years ago. I injured a shoulder tendon still nags me now. Did physical therapy and the whole bit. Just dealing with it but it sucks because it definitely hinders me hitting max bench.
I tore mine doing a pushup. Turns out I had a bone spur that had been shredding my rotator cuff.I know, just messing with you. I do think it's better, but I'll be easing back in over the next few weeks. Hopefully no major damage to the rotator cuff.
I had a spur in my right shoulder that was digging into my biceps tendon several years ago. Went into surgery thinking I was facing repaired biceps tendon rehab. When he found the spur, he shaved it down, did minor labrum maintenance, and I was good to go within 3-4 weeks.I tore mine doing a pushup. This is one of my biggest fears when I run certain places. Its one of the many reasons I don't run with headphones any longer. I want to be able to hear what is going on around me. I have had a couple of close encounters but never been hit. Both of them looked at me like I was at fault when I was in the middle of the cross walk.On my run this morning got hit by a car. He stopped at a stop sign and I ran in the cross walk in front of him and he rammed me. Then drove off
I will not cross in front of cars, even in my neighborhood. This is one of my biggest fears when I run certain places. Its one of the many reasons I don't run with headphones any longer. I try my best to run behind the car but both times I had something almost happen I was already in the cross walk before the car even got there. Both cars were not paying attention. One was on their phone and the other was looking the other way and didn't look both ways before attempting to pull out.I will not cross in front of cars, even in my neighborhood.
I will jog in place till they go or turn around and go back the way I came for a little bit.
I also run in my neighborhood at a time when traffic is low
You know the deadliest intersection in Hamilton Co is right there. Or at least it was deadliest at one time.I try my best to run behind the car but both times I had something almost happen I was already in the cross walk before the car even got there. Both were on Hixson Pike... one at Stone Wall Farms and the other at one of the Valley Brook entrances
Nice! My biggest hurdle was the assumption that I had to baby that shoulder forever (it had bothered me for a long time, and even after the surgery I wouldn't do shoulder presses cause I was convinced the mechanics of my body didn't work like everyone else's.) I finally got over that, mostly. 15# dumbbells are the max for anything overhead, for now. Still feels crazy to me.I had a spur in my right shoulder that was digging into my biceps tendon several years ago. Went into surgery thinking I was facing repaired biceps tendon rehab. That's the only joint in my body that never hurts now LOL
And what was the pain for this like for that particular issue? Just curious because I"ve had some kind tendon pain before in one arm but I dont know if it's bicep related or notI had a spur in my right shoulder that was digging into my biceps tendon several years ago. I have to have this talk with myself every week. Especially weeks when I go to the gym with Freak Jr. But I learned the hard way.I know, just messing with you.
