Thanks! With the elevation, it’s so tough to do even or negative splits. Everything I did was aimed around getting me to mile marker 20. From there, it was all about trying to gut it out and if possible, catch the 4 hour pacer. Managed to do it at mile 24, from there I just wanted to build a buffer in case I locked up.

Looks like you put in the work and had your gameplan in place. Always nice to take out the deposits from all the hard work put in 🙂
 
30 miles yesterday. Second ride of the year. It was 80F, which helped the lungs a bit compared to the first ride. No speed records were set. LOL
We’re old now.
I don’t see any speed records in my future unless I take up something new like biking…..then they will be slow by comparison
 
I’ve got more than a decade on the lot of ya. I can claim to be old, fat, and slow. Y’all are just pudgy and feeling a little creaky.
 
Started back running again this Monday after taking a few days off post-Cherry Blossom 10-miler. I am training for the DC Half, but if I can't make that one will run a local half about a month later in October.

I'm mixing in lifting (high rep counts, lighter weight) three days a week, and a daily 15-minute yoga session every morning as well. Really looking to improve all around.
 
My running buddy passed in late November and I’ve maybe run 3 times since. My brother text today that he signed me up for a 10k on Long Island in September.
So…..I’m running again. Saturday.
