Was looking for a list of the top high school seniors to watch from around the East Tennesse area. If we give these kids more "positive" media exposure, I believe it could help build up football in East TN.

Think about it: If a 14 or 15 year old young man sees these current seniors recieving alot of positive media exposure...they are gonna want that also. Could be the extra motivation a kid needs to start them down the right path. They could learn to work harder, make sacrifices, and dedicate themselves to a greater cause...which in turn could produce even greater high school talent in the state of TN!

So, lets start a thread here to show some love to our local East TN high school senior football athletes. Include names, school, updated stats, honors recieved, etc...

NO BASHING PLAYERS...THIS IS A POSITIVE EXPOSURE THREAD! WE WANT THE BEST FOR ALL OUR LOCAL ATHLETES!

I appreciate what you are trying to do here, but a few posts on VN isn't going to manufacture elite talent (that's genetics and coaching), and it's not going to increase media exposure either. Volnation is a niche market.

Always support and pull for East Tn athletes but for every Jason Witten, theres 100 or more Ralph Nelsons.

I realize this, but the buzz might create a little excitement and get more athletes interested in football..which will get some of these "Sony Playstation Generation" kids off the couch and on a team where a coach can work with them.

I know Cody Blanc is a local star...and I keep hearing about Powell running back.

Also, when I look on knoxnews.com and read the prep extra I see a Cates from Cocke County with impressive stats.

This is not a competition thread to say who is better than who. Many great athletes in East TN. This thread just gives us a place to talk and learn about local talent that many of us do not get to see or hear about. Thanks for letting us all know about the Glover kid. Will look for his future stats in the news.

Dy'shawn Mobely from Powell is a BEAST. Also the QB from Maryville, he committed 2 UNC
..cant 4get Vanderbilt Hambrick, RB from Alcoa..all true beasts. Athletes n the class of 2013, will b VERY good @ Oak Ridge, such as myself..GO CATS!!

I watch this kid every Friday night, he is ELECTRIC w/ the ball in his hands. A week ago he was leading the NATION in special teams yardage. Hes averaging at least 1 PRTD a game right now.

Got to see him almost singlehandedly beat Jeff. County Friday night. 350 all-purpose yards. Totally impressed with him.
