Starting snowing in Jeff City around 5:45 by the time I ran by Pizza Hut and to get gas, the ground was white...crazy big flakes sticking to everything

Pretty amazing weather here today. Northwest of Crossville we have 6-7 inches but Crossville had just a light dusting of snow until an hour ago even though I'm only 8 miles northwest of town. I've never seen such a drastic change in a short distance. It's been snowing here since 9am. Here are a couple of pics

Lovell at Pellissippi, snowing here mixed with rain but not sticking to roads. Temp sitting at 34. Doesnt lok to budge anytime soon.

We live near the Morgan/Roane line up on the mountain toward Oakdale and it's coming down pretty good. Some big ole fat flakes.

I'm probably about a mile from you headed towards Oakdale on the same highway. Snow seems to have slacked off a little.

Looking light the system is breaking up a bit. The wraparound seems less intense than it was a couple of hours ago.

Towards the end they actually got it pretty close to being right here, amazingly. They had about 4 lines drawn through Cumberland county and me being in the Northwestern part was expected to get a lot more than the southeast and that's what happened. I just didn't really believe the cutoffs were going to be that sharp, though. When I dug out and drove to town earlier (6 miles on the interstate) I was amazed to see that they only had a dusting while we had been in constant stead snow since morning time. I've heard they are finally starting to get more snow now but it's still crazy.

Obviously I'm no meteorologist but looking at the latest radar loop, it just looks like the backend of this system is running out of moisture. Snow has just now started sticking to patio furniture here in Rocky Hill.
