To this point, the main thrust of energy has stayed just to our north and east. This evening should have more favorable trajectory for storms coming into the area. If the complex moving in this morning dissipates and allows the atmosphere to destabilize with the heating of the day, there could be some stout storms later.
Hmmm. They were saying for East TN that the best chance for the storms today is between 2-7pm? Does that sound about right to you?
Update:
1. In the latest update to the Severe Weather Outlook for today, we remain in the enhanced risk area for the afternoon and evening hours. After this batch of moderate to heavy rain moves out, the sun will be coming out. That will help to make the airmass unstable again and fuel supercells and line segments this afternoon and evening.
2. Me, RT, Falco, and others who have posted weather forecasts and info try our best to keep people informed of any impending bad weather conditions. Are we going to be right all the time? I wish, but that isn't going to happen.
Seconded, big time.
The "SEE! They were wrong, AGAIN!!!" gets a little annoying.
Btw, did you read my earlier post? If not, I suggest that you keep the nice vehicles in the garage today.
