Bearden (def. Farragut 28-21) at Smyrna (def. Wilson Central 17-7)

Bearden will lean on RB Torey Works on offense, who rushed for 271 vs. Farragut. Their defense held 2,700 yard rusher Andre Sterling to just 88 yards. QB Dawson Halliday is a Harvard recruit. Matt Williamson had 11 sacks at DE and over 70 tackles. Smyrna's offense is of course powered by Vandy baseball recruit Sonny Gray, who threw 2 TDs vs. Wilson Central. The running game is powered by freshman 160-pound speedster Jeremiah Bryson. And of course there's Mr Football finalist WR Rodriguez Wilks, who had 17 TD this year and is committed to Tennessee. He's also key on defense where he had 58 tackles and three interceptions as a DB during the regular season.

Sullivan South (def. Greeneville 41-14) at Maryville (def. Red Bank 52-20)

Maryville's defense didn't look as athletic as years past to me, vs Red Bank, but they still swarm the ball incredibly like every Maryville team. Steven Shiver is one to watch at safety and wide receiver. On offense they are led by Brent Burnette at QB, who I bet gets offered by somebody before signing day. WR/TE Aaron Douglas is a beast; its hard to believe he's may be an OL on the Hill. Tyler Clendenen is big play at WR. RB Tim Rodriguez is a great role player for them. He is not only their best rusher but also catches many balls and makes big plays. Sullivan South is lead by Kurt Phillips at QB, who's apparently Northeast Tennessee's Tim Tebow. He had over 250 yards rushing vs. Greeneville and 3 TDs with 2 TDs on the ground.

Fulton (def. Austin-East 26-6) at Pearl-Cohn (def. White House 14-7)

Fulton is led on offense by Terrence Cobb who rushed for 158 yards rushing on 22 attempts vs. A-E. Wide receiver Derrick Humphrey had 29 catches for a 18.4 average and 5 TDs this season, and had 3 INTs on defense. Wideout Vik Smith caught 5 TDs and is key in the defensive backfield. Their defense held a good A-E offense to 99 total yards, and is led by Bubba Stokes, who had over 100 tackles this year with 5 sacks, second on the team to Cobb, who had 6 at DE. Pearl-Cohn is led by 6'4" QB Deaunte Mason, a Kentucky commitment who had 17 TDs, and 6'3" WR William Johnson, who had 8 TDs.

2A

Donelson Christian Academy (def. York Institute 34-12) at Alcoa (def. Gatlingburg-Pittman 59-36)

Alcoa's led by QB Randall Cobb, who threw for 13 TDs and just 2 INTs while rushing for over 500 yards (over 11 yards per carry) and 8 TDs. Cobb is also the best DB in the state. He's committed to Kentucky but the Vols have recently offered. Troy Hodge rushed for 16 TDs for Alcoa, while Jaron Toney led the team with 750 yards rushing. Junior Sam Thompson had 7 TDs as a WR and 2 INTs at DB. DCA's passing attack is led by QB Chris Pierce, who passed for 26 TDs this year, and WR Braden Anderson, who had 10 TDs. RB Jeremy Worden had 20 TDs. Offensive lineman Seth White has committed to Western Kentucky.

Fulton will beat Pearl Cohn. They are by no means unbeatable. Mason is much better when he runs the football. He was in my opinion less than average throwing against White House last night. He missed open recievers all night. If Fulton tackles well they will be headed back to state.
