I live within 5 miles of @malinoisvol and can confirm there was an earthquake in our area. It started around 9:10 Eastern time and lasted 15-20 seconds. I was in the kitchen and could feel it up my legs. It rattled the house. I post in the RF and people from North of Atlanta, Chattanooga, Farragut, Seymour have posted about it. I came over here to see if Mal had posted about it.

*It's been upgraded from a 3.5 to a 4.1

Hopefully, nothing fell off the shelves and walls. Glad you’re OK.

Random story that sounds Tinnish, but with smaller words.

I remember watching the final episode of Dallas when an earthquake hit when I still lived in Memphis.

Felt plenty of shakers in California.

One evening my ex and I were having margs at a Mexican spot down the street from our place in Oakland. She was like, earthquake. I didn’t feel a thing, but it was a pretty decent shaker.

I was recovering from sun poisoning at a friend’s apartment in Marin City when an earthquake woke me up. My friend called from work. I answered her phone (it was 1980). She exclaimed, “Did you feel that?!” Then, I walked around to reassure her nothing had fallen and broken.

Marin City is where Tupac went to high school.

Was traveling for work as a CPA/tax consultant in 1987, and took my wife to help do some of the write up. Went to a LA suburb to examine records of a large food company. While we were working there was a 5.9 quake. It felt like there was a giant shaking the 12? story building from side to side. The bldg was designed to sway to withstand quakes. I thought it was kinda cool as the building swayed, but every now and then there would be a loud bang and a sharp shake. The employees all either stood in doorways or got under their desk. The aftershocks lasted well into the night. Folks with us at the nearby Holiday Inn weren't real comfortable.
It was good to get home.
