I don't see Toney Williams jumping to 2nd string after the ACL injury. I would put Poole there, probably.
I don't believe DD will play recruiting games with the depth chart... therefore Poole will be the #1 RB.

I aslo think Ben Martin starts over Gerald Williams. He finished the season really strong.

Yeah. Martin really came on strong. Hopefully he and Walker will gain some bulk to help them with stopping the run.

Nice work by you and the OP. I see Revis starting @center and Shaw starting @ OG. Flip Frazier and King at LB and start Clark over Gordon at corner and we're pretty much good to go.

I would love to see Revis start at C. He went to the same high school that I graduated from a number of years ago. But I just think physically he still needs another year in the weight program. Again, I hope I am wrong on that. Shaw is just flat out not an SEC caliber lineman. He does not have the athleticism. So I hope for our sakes that he is not starting at OG. People always go a little overboard with 'measurables' and I think that is happening with Clark a little bit. Gordon is very underrated and will be a very good cover corner. Frazier and King are a toss-up. I will give you that at this point. I think King has a little higher ceiling and I am always patient with Frazier coming off knee injury. That is my reasoning.

Poole over BB?

Ditto on point #2.

I really think so and it has nothing to do with how I like one guy or the other... though I do like underdog stories like Tauren's.

I only have limited data... mainly watching them play this last year. In his limited opportunities, Poole showed great vision, power, cutting ability, and acceleration through the hole. On all three of his runs vs VT, he saw holes that didn't appear to be there.... holes that Hardesty wasn't seeing. Once he sees a hole, he plants his foot and goes.

Brown on the other hand constantly ran up the backs of blockers. I never saw him make even a good cut much less a great one... and for all the 5* acclaim about his athleticism and power he didn't appear to be hard to tackle and didn't run away from anyone.

There's been alot of suggestion that he played with a bum hip... maybe so. He was definitely green and should make great strides this off season. But just based on what little I've seen of both, Poole looks better and matter of factly plays harder.

Really hate to agree but......yeah.

On the other hand i think most of these problems can be solved with experience.

I've been thinking about this for some time now and have not mentioned it on here (I wanted to start a thread about our future offense ), but the more I think about it, the more I realize that we have a lot of weapons on offense. If Stephens, Bray, or Simms can be efficient QB's, and the green O-Line can be find a way to run block and not get the QB killed we can be very good on Offense. I realize that these are major "IFs" but we really do have very good skill players. We have an outstanding stable of rb's, the deepest group of WR's I can remember, especially w/ our recent signees and Stocker has the opportunity to be a possible 1st Round or 2nd round pick, w/ the signing of Rivera and with the addition of Adderly we can be dangerous at TE.

I think bc we have so many skill players it gives us a great chance at being very multiple in our play calling and I think Toney Williams can be a key ingredient in our offense. He is quick enough to be a TB or HB, but also big enough to be used in run blocking. I'm thinking of a another version of Shawn Bryson, but used more often and a little differently. I think we will see a combo of BB and Poole used as our primary backs, Oku used a lot in motion and in the slot. As much as I know that everyone will hate the comparison, I think Williams could come in as a LenDale White kind of back as a change of pace to our smaller backs. I hope they would use him in this way anyways bc I always liked the idea of a big back pounding for those 3-4 yards at a time to compliment the slashing abilities of the others.

I would really like to see CDD and OCJC get creative in play calling, but yet maintain the philosophy of a physical offense. You see the Bama's and LSU's of the world running the Pistol and Wildcat effectively, I don't see why we could not use some of those same formations/ philosophies and not be successful with the amount of talent we have in the backfield and w/ our upgrade in size w/ the wideouts.

Ok, I'm done w/ my somewhat alcohol induced gameplan and philosophy of our offense next year. Sorry that I went on, but I'm just very excited about our skill guy's abilities, and hoping that the other 6 guys on the field can help them succeed.

this looks better. btw, what's up with marlon walls at DT??? A little undersized isnt he?
The previous staff raved about him. He was in the DT rotation at one point this season. I think he played around 260 or so but he should be able to be around 280 or so by the fall and as athletic as he is, it shouldn't be an issue.

If you starting Guards next year are Shaw and Hood then we are in for a long season trying to run the football.

Hood is another guy (likes Revis) that needed multiple years in the S&C program to get big enough and strong enough for the SEC.

I can see Juwan James playing G. He's eventually a tackle, but may be our best option at G right now.

Between Douglas, Schofield, James, and Thomas, D. I think all four of them need to be on the field. The problem is all are better suit to play tackle. I dont think we have a choice though. Two of them need to be on the field at the G spot. Douglas is obviously staying at T. That leaves two of the others to play guard. I dont know for sure who would be better at the guard sopt between Thomas, Schofield or James.

I think V Thomas ends up staying on defense. all 4 backups behind Hughes and Walls are questionable as to how much they can help. Will need all bodies possible just to play 10-12 snaps a game to give the front two rest. Even if they contribute nothing but rolling around on the ground.

Brown, academic concerns. May not even get in.

Nelson, 8 snaps a game, please..

Sykes, has not played a snap in 3 years. Can he give any snaps to them?

Jeffrey, total unknown. getting healthy but no clue how impacted or how much he can contribute..

Wouldn't be shocked to see them try other OL even though they are short in the OL also..
