Florida- they go as far as the D will carry them.
South Carolina- Garcia is still Garcia can implode at anytime. I dont care if he was the 5th best passer this season.
Arkansas- the only team that worries me.
Georgia- without AJ they are a long way from explosive.

Marlon Brown.....nope, nevermind

Your speaking as if you know more than your saying. Panic will follow...

Maybe thats another reason why we recruited so many DB's in this class.

I'm posing as a hypothetical but there is concern in that regard. nothing concrete, but concern.

Guys... while this next year some of these teams listed will have more depth than us, lets not underestimate how much experience our young guys gained this last year. That will go a lot longer way than you think. Also, whoever is worried about Arkansas without Mallet but comfortable against Alabama this year is off their rocker. That's nuts.

Big wins against Florida, Georgia, LSU, and NC State at opener in ATL
Losses- Bama, South Carolina, and one of those "had a bad day" losses

Carolina wins the East, but we get a good bowl and roll full steam into big time recruiting!

2013- UT = SEC Champs

Florida, Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Georgia are flat out better than UT.

Florida - road game (L)
Alabama - road game (L)
LSU - home game; revenge (W)
South Carolina - home game (W)
Arkansas - road game; predict late season upset (W)
Georgia - home game; GA sucks at Neyland (W)

I'm going 10-2 SEC East Champions - look at what Saban, Meyer, and Chizik were able to pull off in year 2. Have FAITH in the VOLS!!! :loco:

Saban and Meyer have 2 National Championships apiece. Far cry from someone who has 3 losing seasons in 4 years of head coaching. And Cam Newton won't be running through the T next year.

Point taken. (I think coaching cost us 2 games last year - LSU and NC). But then again, look at Chizik's record at ISU...
Anyone can beat anyone on any given day, so I chose the optimistic route - it is entirely possible - although I admit a bit of a stretch...

Really?

I don't think coaching cost us the LSU game.

The UNC game I can see, because we gave them the ball back at the end, but the LSU isn't on the coaches. The "great" coaches have too many guys on the field and can't get their crap together sometimes. It happens.

What coach ever lost a game because he had too many guys on the field? Also, if UT converts on 4th and 1 or stops LSU on 4th and 14, that cluster**** never happens.

I guess it was just my imagination that Arkansas played in a BCS bowl and Georgia beat UT by 27 this year.

We did it to Georgia the year before, what a diff a year can make. Arkansas will not be as good as last year. Has nothing to do with this year, which we will be much improved in with Bray who didnt play that game. Not to mention we will be much improved all around.

7-5 in regular season. We're still behind Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina & LSU in the talent rankings, and we lost to 4 of the 5 by double digits last year with the talent disparity staying the same or growing.
