A 17 point win is closer than most thing? Do you guys realize that right now Vegas only has you as a 3.5 point favorite?

Anyways, I got no dog in the fight, so I can probably provide a pretty good perspective on this. Underestimating NC State would be a huge mistake, IMO. These teams are pretty even from a playing perspective. I give the edge to Tenn b/c they will probably have a 80/20 crowd advantage, and their backs are up against the wall with Dooley squarely on the hot seat. You will find Glennon to be a very efficient QB, and getting pressure on him will be one of the keys to this game. This will be no easy task, as their O-line is very good, enough so that O'Brien has said it is his best since his BC days.

With all that said, I got Tenn 27-21. Should be a great game, looking forward to the start of football season!!

Just like when Florida plays Texas A&M - This game will be very telling about the season that lies ahead.

It will 'rip the band-aid off' so to speak for both of these teams. Love it.. :)

The Gators were on the practice field today before 6:00 am.. What's all this about UT cancelling practices.. skipping scrimmages? :loco:

Its going to be a tight game, but I see the VOLS coming out on top, 42-37. NC State is not a bad football team, very similar to what the VOLS are this year, but I think that NC State can not contain Rodgers and Hunter, which will be the difference. I see a big game from one of them. Minimum 10 catches, 200 yds and 2 TDs for either one. GO VOLS!!!

If Sal really feels the way about his defense that he says in interviews, the vols will be hard to handle for 4 qtrs. I do feel like rust will be a factor though. 31-24 vols. Will find out soon if our coaches are playing head games or if they really have something.
