You’re right. It says Clemson would beat us by 50+. But it also says that Bama lost by 28!!!!! So as the original poster said...

OP is so used to losing that now watching other teams like Bama lose is the closest thing to a win for us. The Vandy syndrome. Oh wait a minute...

You are exactly right. Wanting Bama to win “because SEC” does nothing for UT except get us more 5 star hearts when the big time players continue to go to Bama because they win championships. Bama starts losing some and suddenly recruits start considering other schools too. I want the conference to stay strong overall, but honestly I hope all other teams except for UT loses every game.

Best part of the Bama loss to me was the fact that Butch Jones does not get a championship ring while making his $35,000 Bama salary, doing no coaching to earn the ring, and while still pulling in money from TN. Guess his cigar has to wait another time.

Cheering for Bama because they are in the SEC, is like worshiping the Devil because he's mentioned in the Bible.

I enjoyed it immensely and the only SEC team I root for is Tn. I have never seen or heard how Bama, Ga, Fla, etc., winning will/has helped UT in football. Granted in BB for seeding purposes but never in football. I just wish Clemson would have put up a 50 against Bama.

Bama losing to a good Clemson does not make the SEC any less of a good conference.

It is asinine to be happy while our biggest traditional rival racks up NCs and rakes in all the top talent all for SEC PRAHHHD.

I'm back on ESPN- I think it's a shame only they showed the game. It should be on free network. The National Championship Game should never be shown on a network only available on cable or satelite! Should be on FREE such as ABC at least. Not fair to people unable to get those services, and there are plenty of them around. It's as close to Pay-Per-View as it can be

If anyone doesn’t feel like hatin’ on Bama, don’t fret too hard because I’ve got you covered. The only thing half as good as a TN win is Bama getting blown out.
