Early Betting Favoring Indiana

In week 11 you have a QB that passed for 400+ yards against a 6-6 team it's no brainer take UT.
In week 12 you have a QB that passed 6 for 17 for a 35% completion rate for 120 yards 1 interception and started the game 0 for 8 with a interception. Against a 3 and 9 team.
It's a no brainer you keep your money in your pocket you have no ideal who will show up at QB and you know a 3 win team will not be in a Bowl game. It's a no go bet.

I agree 100% you never know which jg will show up. Thats why I wanted from early in the season to go with one of the backups at qb. We would be sitting real good now with that game experience behind them. If jg plays good we will win easily, if he plays like he did against vandy we get beat, jmo.

So if you don't do your homework:

1. You won't see Indiana's wins against trash, losses against good teams.
2. Best player, starting QB is out.
3. Indiana won 8 games, Tennessee 7.
4. Tennessee lost to Georgia State, how can they beat Indiana?
5. Tennessee about #83 in passing, IN #13; TN about #100 in total offense; IN #31.
6. Indiana beat BallSt 5-7, Eastern Illinois 1-11, Uconn 2-10, Rutgers 2-10, Maryland 3-9, Nebraska 5-7 (best win), Northwestern 3-9, Purdue 4-8. IN lost to OhioSt 51-10, MichSt (6-6), 40-31, PSU 34-27 (best game played), and Mich 39-14.
7. If You don't do your homework, you won't know that: Tennessee beat UTChattanooga 6-6 FCS, MissSt 6-6, SCAR 4-8, UAB 9-4, Kentucky 7-5 with QB woes mid-season or would thety be 9-3 (best win), Mizzou 6-6, and Vandy 3-9. TN lost to GA St. 7-5 (arrgh!), BYU 7-5 (blew it without Bryce and Bituli!), FL 10-2, GA 11-2, and AL 10-2.

Yup, I'm not touching this with a ten foot pole.

I fully expect us to win by two td's, but with Jarette "Give Him Three" Guarantano behind center there is just not enough confidence for me to roll some cash out. He's too unstable/inconsistent.

And if we get into a spot where we need to throw the long ball? Then you're putting your money on a 50/50 jump ball.

It ALL depends on the Indiana DB's ability to Tackle JJ and compete with Callaway and Jennings for jump balls. The UT Defense should shut them down for the most part.

Where the heck is everyone betting at nowadays? Only gambling I ever did was online poker but would like to dabble into sports betting. Football only though as I don't care about any other sports. Anyone got an app or a website? PM me if you need to...

I don't know, our 50-50 balls have been more like 90-10 balls this season!
I agree. Calloway and Jennings have been phenomenal. But that's also what worries me. We're due some bad luck, and I'm afraid we're going to go to the well one too many times. Hopefully the season will play out before it bites in the butt, but I'm not putting money on it.

Yes heard that about a week after the game. That is really a heavy burden to carry. You would have thought that CJP knew that and would have reacted after terrible start but he stayed the course. Eric Gray had a breakout game and we were playing the worst Vandy team in a while and worst team we played all year sans UTC. So CJP must have thought he would come around.
That was unusual CJP would have pulled BM or JTS but the 400+ game must have given JG some gravitas.
My reaction was to this game but it goes deeper. Last year he was up Auburn , UK and down the last 2 weeks Vandy & Missouri.
Same this year up & down and he pulled for a true freshman (BM) but comes back has good games. goes rogue and causes 14 point swing.
This would be understandable for a RS freshman, ytue freshaman or true sophomore but a RS junior in his 4th year.
I myself can not put money on a guy like that , is what it is.
This is why I am so uncertain about next year
and 2 NFL receivers are gone.

Is it really that difficult to understand that a 2nd year with the same Coordinator will benefit him greatly?

Literally having to learn 3 different playbooks and communication methods leads ti inconsistencies for pretty much any QB. I feel very confident about our offensive productuon improving dramatically next season.

Siap...

We started as a pick 'em (0), so if the spread has moved to -1.5, then money is actually coming in for us.

The betting public% (which sharps often go against) is merely how many bet on that side. It doesn't tell us how much. The spread movement indicated how much.

So...if the spread is mobing in our favor, but the absolute number of bets are in Indiana's favor - this tells us big/sharp money is coming in for UT and all the tons of small fish bettors are laying their small bets on IU.

This is very positive.

He's actually on his fourth OC in 4 years (RS-Jr). I'm sure that didn't help him early in the season. Now looks to be the best OC for JG by a country mile. DeBord and Scott were a run game OCs.

Only a 1.5 point favorite. That is a insult. The spread will surly grow soon.
Disagree. I called a -1.5 pt spread as soon as the game was announced.

At the end of the day, they are 8-4 in the 2nd best conference. We are 7-5 in the best conference.

Pros: We will travel better and make it a near home crowd advantage. We are on a 5 game winning streak (albeit no ranked opponents).

Cons: They have a +8.1 points per game margin. We have a +2.6 PPG margin, partially due to terrible RZ offense.

IU is 24th in SP+ and we are 32nd.

Neutral: we have a +.78 YPP margin (our best all decade), they are at +.72 YPP.

I think -1.5 is very reasonable. That said, I'd take it! GBO!

Totally different game plans by the two defenses! Vandy Forced Tn to run, Mizzou was set up to stop that run!

Happens every time they put a startup big 10 team up against Tennessee. Then the game starts.

Jalen Hurts went in to a new system and was up for heisman. Jake Fromm came in under Chaney his Freshman year had a 160.1 QB rating and went undefeated until Bama beat them in OT in SECC. There others Bo Nix came in at Auburn good year beat Bama and Oregon and some good teams. I could go on and on with QB's that get it with a OC immedieately over Spring and Summer practice.
It shouldn't be that hard like some people are making it out to be it's football that he's played since grade school.
It comes off as excuses.

Vandy is a 3 win team it shouldn't matter what kind of D game plane. they hav.
Acy Missouri best DB was out our game and they lost another one in the game . Their freshman DB sub could not stay on the field with any of our WR's . They were very depleted in their D backfield and we exploited as we should have.
