The local alumni chapter is finalizing plans for a golf tournament for the Friday afternoon before the game. Proceeds will benefit the chapter scholarship fund.
There will also likely be a tailgating area about a 10 minute walk from the stadium and adjacent to a local brewery.
When everything is final, I'll post the details for both.
It will be at Skybrook and include dinner afterwards. Working on finalizing details and will have an online registration link ready shortly.
I grew up in Tennessee and went to school in WV but not WVU. There probably is a large alumni group in Charlotte. Not not to bash WV but not much opportunity in Wv. So many if not most eduacted and skilled people leave the state to make money.Me and my three kids will be there. Section 541 row 28.
First game for them, and my daughter might not have a clue whats going on (she's 6), but I'm going to tell them simply to make noise when daddy makes noise.
Very excited.
Edit: Ran into a guy wearing a WVU shirt at my gym, so made small talk with him about the game. He said WVU has a huge alumni club around here and he expects there to be a ton of WVU fans there. I told him TN travels well, but he thinks it'll be just as many if not more WVU. We'll see.

I still think the Vols will bring more fans. I will be there with a group of 5 and only one WVU fan. I plan on meeting other friends that are WVU fans.
Go Vols!
