EA....will he be the best QB in the SEC this year?

Year before last I was not so high on EA. remeber the LSU underhand pass in the endzone:no: . Last year I though he played really well and was glad he got his head and arm working as one. If he plays better than last year I see him easily being the best QB in the SEC(yes over T BOW). Does anyone predict him being the top QB this year or just another solid show by EA?

It will be between him and Andre Woodson from Kentucky. They return basically their whole offense. With his receivers and Rafael Little, I think he will end up with the better stats. But I think Ainge ends the season with the SEC ring.

If best is equal to determination, I think Tebow has that can do attitude I'm afraid.I recently read some of his high school stats as well as an article of him asking his coach to insert him into the line up in a high school game (as linebacker) and he made the game winning tackle preserving a state championship.

He'll have the best duo of WRs in the conference, and a vastly improved OL. He might not be better than those 2, but his stats could be gaudy. Remember the jump Ainge and Woodson made from SO to JR.

What is the criteria?

If pure passing stats, would seem that Ainge and Ky QB have the resume so far. If results, i.e. wins and championships, are the benchmark, then my money remains on Tebow.

He's a winner, pure and simple.

Oh my gosh, I thought the thread was about who the best QB will be in the future! I totally forgot that UT fans are stuck living in the glory days of yesteryear.

Yeah, that's what it is. It has nothing to do with the fact that your pure and simple winner has never thrown a meaningful pass or won a start.

Not saying he wont do well but lets see him run the ship from down one, take many hits ect.

I think its pretty much up in the air between a bunch of qbs...

1. Ainge: Can his receivers get open, and can he stay healthy?
2. Tebow: Will get all the exposure in the world, has Percy Harvin, but really very little experience.
3. JPW: Has outstanding receivers and a good coach. He's the sleeper.
4. Flynn: Similar to Ainge in that he lost all his receivers from a year ago but the newcomers are talented.
5. Woodson: Most of the offense is returning, but he wont sneak up on people like last year.
6. Stafford: Getting lots of pub as well based on potential.
7. Cox: Being a senior has to count for something, right? Well, probably not in his case.
8. Mitchell: Another sleeper. Threw the ball well at the end of last year, and you know he will have plenty of chances to throw.

You could make a case for any of these guys.

You may as well add Nickson to the list...he's got tremendous ability to create a big play with his legs, and he'll still have Bennett to throw to. I don't think he'll light up the SEC, but he's as good as Mitchell and Cox, and he's far more accomplished than Tebow.
