So, when will Rockstar resurface since they didn't come out to E3?

I heard there was suppose to be some news on the next GTA.

The pretty clear consensus is Nintendo destroyed Sony and Microsoft this year.

Sony's was better than Microsoft's but boring....and to me the Move crap is a straight up rip off of the Wii Motion, and since I don't even like the Wii Motion very much or use it, there's no way I'm plunking down $100 for it.

Microsoft's conference was almost as embarassing as Nintendo's 2008 conference. Way too much Natal/Kinect crap, and all the games they showed had already been announced.

Eh - who cares? Does that mean you guys are going to run out and buy all of Nintendo's products? Lol.

None of the 3 really announced anything that is going to make me change my spending habits and routine on the games I purchase each year and whatever.

I'd like to try 3D (that's the only thing I guess) - but not for awhile - not buying a new TV just for that - then be forced to spend probably a lot more for the systems own 3D crap.

Nintendo easily won E3, and will continue to rake in an insane amount of cash. I still hate them for making Sony and Microsoft waste their time and money on going after the casual market with crappy gimmicks. I hope Kinect and Move both fail so we can move on.

Honestly, Kinect was just poorly done/planned at thus point and that's what hurt them as they made it the main point of their presentation

the technology aspects for system non-gaming capabilities were impressive, but the games - the aspect it was created for - all looked poor/bad (or as someone wrote up, " 'nintencats' wasn't an impressive launching point for microsoft"), that and it pretty much costs as much as another system are going to hurt it selling. They made it clear that the goal of it is to try to get nintendo's casual market money, but with how it is currently it might prevent some from buying a wii along with their system, but it's not going to get them much more

(plus if they're targetting a new group to buy both, the new xbox is the one designed for natal....and combining those two is like $450 without games)

Wait - so you are seriously trying to argue that people who buy Nintendo products actually know of E3? All those young families with 10 year old kids buying all those Wii fits and such? And even older couples...

Gamers don't really play the Wii (I bought one when it came out then sold it after the novelty wore off) - and only gamers know about E3..

III has been in development, and has some amazing concepts, but its switched hands so many times.

They're bound to release it sooner or later. I & II were two of the best selling games of all time.

Preaching to the choir man. Sony and Microsoft are just wasting their time with this crap. It's what ticked me off about Microsoft's Press Conference. It was like a gigantic F U to those that actually own and support the console. 20 minutes of actual games, games that we already knew about. Then the rest of their show was Kinect shovelware, the demographic for that garbage certainly isn't watching. Microsoft seriously had one of the worst pressers I've seen at E3.

I dont think anyone was intending at along those lines. But it's a thing the gaming media makes each year of "who won E3" the same way the sports media says "who won the NFL draft" right afterwards


If you're going to continue buying what you're buying, that's you, and that's fine/cool

I agree with you about the 3D thing; I dont like the idea of spending money on the set and then seeing i have to buy things separate for the system, yeah (and sony leaves me confused about what will happen with that)

I'm curious about that 3DS only b/c it does 3D without glasses; if that works like it's supposed to, I would like eventually for the TV makers to catch on and use that...and would be quite willing to wait for it

as far as battlefront III goes....if it ever does get made i'm curious to see what star wars battles they would actually put in the game. pretty much all of the major ones have already been covered in I and II.

please it's lucas. He'll make up 6-8 battles that happened inbetween or were "forgotten" :)
