They'll be airing Microsofts's Kinect presentation/Cirque De Solei performance Tuesday night on Viacom owned channels(MTV, Nickelodeon, etc.). Unsure of the time.

NFL games are frequently blacked out. And when they're not, DIrecTV has the broadcast rights. That's why I'm a subscriber!

it's their own fault

microsoft could have tried to revolutionize or take the next step up, instead they chose that "well we want to pretty much make this thing to target nintendo's casual gamer market money and that's it" simple route and left it there

I mean the name alone seemed to hint that from the get go

Shovelware makes up 80% of Nintendo's game library and sells very well. Why should Microsoft do anything differently? I guarantee they'll end up abandoning Kinect anyways, Microsoft and Sony won't be able to catch up to Nintendo.

....too bad it comes at a time when pretty much everyone already has a 360 and in an economy where most dont have an extra $300 to shell out (for essentially the same system again)

the custom Kinect port is a dedicated port for Kinect, so if you don't get this new Xbox 360 and still have an old one, you'll need to get a Y cable adapter to allow for the additional power the Kinect unit will draw

oh wow G4 made a good point

there was no price announcement on Kinect during the microsoft presser,


which very well might be a clue that this thing's near the high rumored prices

this is about the only thing that G4 is useful for the whole calendar year. their re-runs of Cops get old.

Apparently GameStop has leaked the price although it has been pulled now. $149 for Kinect, $299 for a Kinect Arcade Bundle, and $399 for the Kinect Elite Bundle. No bundle with the new Xbox 360. If that price is legit, Kinect will be a massive, massive failure. Hopefully it was just a placeholder price cause $150 is ridiculous. I just don't understand what Microsoft expected to get out of Kinect. It's just a big waste of time and resources.
