Dy'shawn Mobley

He definitely plays with 'tude. Looks like a t-h-u-g. But nice mix of power and speed. If he can stay out of trouble, he might make it somewhere. But I have a hunch he can't stay out of trouble. He scored and only one teammate congratulated him. That is usually a warning sign. Have a feeling that his real name is Me'Shawn Mobley.

Dyshawn only averaged 12 carries a game during the season, so I don't believe he DEMANDS to have the football. Secondly, these group of boys for Powell have been playing together since middle school and are like a family. Not one starter dislikes any other starter. Mobley is an easy going guy who likes to keep you laughing. Everyone likes Dyshawn and Dyshawn likes everyone else on that team. It was very hard for these seniors including Dyshawn to say goodbye to each other on the football field after that game. Very tough experience when a team was as close as they were. Any player on your team will tell you that Dyshawn is very unselfish.

This kid is a talent. He is a great runningback to me. If he had Henry county line it would be easier for him IMO.

Not a knock on Shaquille Allan the RB for Henry County, but anybody could put up big numbers running behind Henry County's line. Dyshawn's numbers would be even more ridiculous with a line like that.

Shoot even bassmanbruno could rush for over a 100 yards with Henry County's line in front of him.

Mobleys the real deal. He played great against us in the championship game but he ran out of gas at the end. I guess thats what happens when you dominate teams and have to sit out a lot of 3rd and 4th quarters. He really didnt even warm up with his team, he stood over by the coaches with his helmet off.. thought that was odd

It would sure be sad if we look all over for the best running back and it turned out to be Mobley (assuming TN doesn't get him) - 5 miles from campus. Having said that there is no way fans can process all the info and make a decision on who the staff should pursue - and even then it could not pan out. It will never be an exact science. Just looked at the Mike Davis video and it looked like hundreds of other rb films to me. They have to factor in grades, personality, work ethic, desire to be at Tn, etc.

Mobleys family has been on here for 2 weeks with that rumor. I think we told Pender no thanks. Mike Davis has been told thanks for visiting but no thanks, just so they could take Mobley.

:lolabove:

TN didn't tell Pender anything. Mario Pender has been committed to FSU since 2010.

If you think Mario Pender would have left a FSU team loaded with talent that returns 26 starters (counting kicker and punter) that will bring in another number 1 or number 2 recruiting class for the second consecutive year to play for the Volunteers then you are more delusional then I originally thought lol.

TN had a ZERO percent chance of getting Pender.

We had more than "NO" chance with Pender.

I would like to see TN take the Powell kid if he's similar in talent to other guys we have like Alden Hill. But, you've got to trust the coaches on this one, they only have 25 total spots to use and there are alot of top notch players that we have been and are in the running for.

The said part is he wants to play for UT. Maybe a RB commit will drop out and UT will make an offer.

I'll agree with that. Didn't see anything particular in Davis' reel that made me think "we HAVE to get this guy."
Our current RB's, Tom Smith or Rajon Neal's highlights looked as impressive or more so.

Mobley sure looks deserving of more D1 offers.

Probably very old news, but Chaney was at his semi-final state game. He will not get an offer.

I have a feeling that the coaches reviewed tape of both Mobley and Cross and came to the conclusion that Mobley might just be a little better. Now that does not mean they take him if they hit with a big name RB but I would assume that Mobley is fine with that and will wait it out to see if he has an offer. JMO

What's the word on this kid? I have been told that Mississippi State is close to offereing this kid, and if so he will decommit from Kentucky.

I saw his highlight tape and he looks good enough to play in the SEC to me. What is his knock???

Watched him play in the state title game.. saw at least two runs that were scores if he had better speed. One run a DB caught him from all the way across the field.

Just note that he played almost the entire game on both sides of the ball so on one of those runs he was tired. I agree he does not have world class speed but I think he has enough to play at UT.
