Here's a kid to keep an eye on...son of Cris Carter, and plays on the same team that former Vols Tony Brown and Jomo Fagan (St. Thomas Aquinas) came from a while back. He's a Jr. this year but will be highly ranked next year I'm sure. Seems like a good kid too....I'd imagine Ohio St. will be the team to beat for him, but you never know.

Yeh Nick Saban sealed the deal on him. Seems like a son of a great WR would want to be in a pass happy offense instead of a running offense like Alabama. But then again it didn't hurt Julio Jones too much, but I believe Julio could have been much more hyped (draft wise - i know he is already a 1st rounder) and def. padded his stats much more in a offense like Arkansas.

Bigger question is where does Saban keep getting all these scholarships at?

Will really be neat when Barry Sanders Jr. joins the Tide.

Ask the guys he trims from the roster every year. The fact that people keep going to play for him and keep thinking he cares about them speaks to the supidity of the average recruit.

Bottom line is these guys want to win championships and that's what Alabama is currently in position to do. That appeals to a lot of recruits whether we like it or not. Would you rather go to a school and have an average to good career, or would you rather ride the bench and have championship rings? I know every kid is going to say I want to play, but some of those kids settle for not playing that much just so they can say they were on a championship football team. That's just how it is sometimes.

Duron Carter is a head case with a drug problem. Tressel did not want him. He will be a cancer to their team. However, he is an elite talent.

And of course if he had committed to ut, you would be praising him and dooley for getting him.:eek:hmy:

No he'd still be a headcase, and I doubt Dooley would've recruited him

ut needs players which can play right now much more than ua, so you are kidding yourself if you think dooley wouldn't want a player that can come in and play now. did you happen to notice the stats from ut's scrimmage sat. compared to ua's. Reactions from the 2 coaches was completely different.

I lol'd. Bama could have complete crap stats from scrimmages and UT could have amazing stats - but only an idiot would think UT has better talent because of a scrimmage against theirselves.

Reactions of the coaches tell alot, and Saban rarely praises anyone. Dooley didn't seemed too pleased with sat.'s numbers.

Dooley is the kind of guy that is going to sound unhappy even if things go well (not saying they did.. only people there could know) - hence - he's from the Saban tree and takes after him a lot.

We have some pretty good receivers actually, and there is no need for us to sign a team cancer which is what Carter is

We'll see, but Saban has done pretty well with recruiting so he knows more than you or I about that. His main problem right now will be determining a starting qb,, which both did really well sat. against a #1 defense so looks like he has a problem many schools would love to have.

Need a lil background info. What's the story on him and the drugs? Not familiar with it.

We will use medical hardships, transfers, and sign and place. Carter added to the roster means we need to remove 13 now instead of 12.
