what the heck is happening in the locker room? Does anyone have a halftime speach from our coaches. I would like to see what they're saying. We should be coming out for the 3rd quarter refreshed and energized but instead we come out flat. Does anyone have audio or anything?

Rah-rah speeches last just until the kicker's foot hits the ball.

Here's what's happening.. The coaches for the other team are saying, "Wow.. UT was well prepared for having such crappy/young/little talent. But here are some adjustments we can make that will help us take advantage of our huge huge advantage in talent, depth and experience."

It's not just the speach. It's adjustments. We don't seem to be making them.

Since this has now happened multiple times, we (the fans) should be able to decipher what is going on here.

1. We are young and not very good on offense.

2. The defense has played well during first halves this year (except maybe Georgia) in the first half but spends too much time on the field because of No. 1 above.

3. We don't have much, if any, depth on defense and certainly not on the DL.

4. As a result of Nos. 2 and 3, the defense gets gassed and it shows up in the third quarter.

5. The other team starts scoring, but our offense continues to stumble, compounding Nos. 2-4 all the more.

Because we are playing well for the first half of most games, there is some reason for hope.

I am not sure Dooley is the answer, and certainly have my doubts, but let's let the guy get a full roster of players (especially more juniors and seniors which will take a few years) before we make any final judgments.

You'll get more reaction from a fellow player who is a leader which we're lacking completely....where's 27 when we need him.

Its called depth.

Really? I'm going to give you an opportunity to explain to me how depth is an issue at the start of the third quarter? be careful u can either not speak and have everyone think you are stupid or comment back and prove them right.

You point out some facts in the first part of your answer, then you blame Dooley in the very last part of your post. This staff is trying to make chicken salad out of the chicken sh!t that Fulmer(most) and Kiffin left them. How you judge their future based on not having the talent is not the brightest points that I have read or heard.

It can't be depth coming out of the locker room. I don't care about Rah-Rah speaches but something isn't going well in the locker room. You don't play all these teams even for 2 quarters and then suddenly fall on the sword. I also don't understand why there were no adjustments on Jones and why Evans was on a island with him.

We have nap time at halftime so that the players can get some rest before coming out in the second half energized and fired up to make up for the lack of depth. The problem is we keep forgetting to wake up and actually play football.

Really...speeches...LORD MERCY VOL FANS ARE IGNORANT

I totally agree! We played over our heads the first half and bama played below their's and at half time Coach Saban said what the heck are you guys doing? Just throw it to juilo because Evans is covering him one on one(who knows why?) and he and waggner are not actually DB's they are just dressing up as one for Holloween! That is what was said at half time! Thank you very much!

Re-read my post. Not blaming Dooley at all--just saying I don't know whether he is the answer. Nobody can say for certain that he is the answer at this point.

I go on to say that he deserves to be given a fair chance before any of us make a final judgment--one way or the other. This season is not his fault by any means.
