It would be hard for me to rationally sit down and turn away millions of dollars to fulfill a lifelong dream of playing in the NFL if given the opportunity. It's easy for me to sit here now and say I would come back to school, but if I was projected in the top couple rounds, the money might be too hard to pass up.
Each circumstance is different. Peyton Manning didn't need to go to the NFL to support his family. It made his choice easier from that standpoint. IIRC, Eric Berry didn't have that luxury. I think his folks were on hard times. No one on here blames him for leaving early.
look....on the serious tip...pro tip....if some of these "would be nfl players" actually join the draft then they are jeopardizing their careers......because if money, being your major beneficiary is your sole purpose for being here then you are mistaken..its about developing your skills while obtaining your degree! ....i as a man of the east am so upset and disenfranchised about the big "3" or cough cough many more of the players thinking this is a "stepping stone" when it is about so so much more!
Gbo!
I agree with what you are saying but Peyton Manning came to this same fork in the road & decided to come back for his senior year. He wanted to experience all that college had to offer & to play for an SEC championship and a possible NC. :hi: Some of TN's current players need to stay & tweak their playing skills to position themselves better for the NFL draft. If things don't work out in the NFL, like getting released, then they will still have a degree they can fall back on.
