Going to Destin on Wednesday so I'll be keeping a lookout for other VFL's

Just be careful down there. It's very slippery. I used to live there and you can slip and fall on just about anything in Destin. I haven't pin-pointed the exact reason but it has something to do with Saban going down there for SEC Media Days each year and the film of slime he leaves behind. It's either his snake slime or saliva from his butt from all the times he's had his ass kissed.

I'm in Beaver Creek, Colorado this week with the family and there's not another Vol in sight. Not surprised though, this is bottom dweller Pac12 country

Plow the road, fade! Plan to visit Beaver Creek next summer.:whistling:

I usually go to Las Vegas labor weekend and there is a good amount of Vol fans at the Mirage sports book. Won't be able to make it this year as that is the weekend of my wedding, but hoping to make it there one weekend of college football. Two years in a row, the Vols have covered my stay in winnings. :good!:

Why in the world would you schedule your wedding on a weekend in which you traditionally go to Vegas? That sets a bad tone for the marriage!

Kidding-congrats to you and the bride

My family and I went to Myrtle Beach the week before Memorial Day weekend. Ran into numerous Vol fans, even met one older gentleman who lives about 20 minutes from us. He wasn't an ex-Vol, but Ramon Sessions, an NBA player, was staying in the same set of condos as us. He had a really nice Ferrari.

I may have been one of those you saw.

Go Vols.

Wearing a Vol cap in the parking lot at a Jimmy Buffett concert in Atlanta recently elicited a lot of "Go Vols!" from fans and a few, "You guys are going to be tough this year." discussions with fans of other schools. Yes, it is a lot more fun than in years past, especially the respect from the other guys.

I went to Belgium a few years ago for business. I was tired of sit down dinners so I instead walked down to a bar a few blocks from the hotel for food and beers. I had changed into jeans and of course my UT cap. I barely got into the door when the owner of the bar yelled "Rocky Top". He had gone to UT years ago and worked in finance before retiring and buying that bar. He sat with me and I swear that man is as big of a Vol fan as people who grew up in the Foothills. My $ was no good. Needless to say I was dragging the next morning after what seemed to be gallons of beer. Was very cool. I still email him quite a bit, especially during football season and I mail him shirts and new cap every August to get him ready.

It's always fun to run into other Vol fans around the country. Where was the cruise?

Nassau, St Thomas and St Marteen. Eastern Caribbean itin rocks - more time at sea, prettiest waters in the Caribbean and naked women on Orient Beach

Got a few GO VOLS while in Denver last week. Though only one was wearing Orange....and I wasn't sure if the others were UT fans or simply Peyton/Broncos fans. Nonetheless...it is always good to hear.

I was in Disney with the wife on our honeymoon last week and they had a little show in Magic Kingdom over by Splash Mountain. They started playing Rocky Top don't know if someone requested it, but it was awesome. Met another Vol fan later in the week at a Sandals in Grenada, looking forward to getting down there this fall to visit!

He (Charles) is truly one of the coolest guys ever. He watches a lot of the games but doesn't keep up as much (as you might imagine no ESPN etc coverage of NCAA) so rule changes screws him up big time. I've gotten some awesome curse filled emails about how the refs screwed us because he didn't know the rule changes. LOL I explain and he in all caps will send back "THEY'RE TRYING TO MAKE IT EUROPEAN FOOTBALL" LOL he hates the targeting rule.

Was in Disney World and saw a few old fans and for the first time in awhile when I said Go Vols, he came over and sat down beside me and talked about the upcoming season. There is SO MUCH optimism, I cannot remember a time like this what like?? 2007 and maybe before that 1999-2002 where so much hype and optimism for a team that everyone has HIGH hopes for.

Just returned from cigar fest in Burlington NC. Wife wore TENNESSEE shirts everywhere, & it elicited positive remarks; even a Georgia fan who was a vendor said the Vols look good for this year...& apologized for Derek Dooley!

Did you tell him to go to hell!?! I'm convinced UGA was involved in a complex CIA plot to take down UT by using Vince's dumb son and Mike Hamilton.
