Being reported that he as a serious medical condition that involves his heart. Let's send out some prayers.

Positive thing: they found it before something bad happened.

Hope everything turns out ok for him.

Did they say heart? Because they said almost the same thing about Coker when he was suspended for pot. (medical problem)

They haven't found anything, they "think" there may have a certain heart condition. They will do more tests to confirm what they "think" he might have.

This has not been the day for good news. God speed Duke, basketball is just a game, I hope this doesn't mess up his life. Not to sound like an a**hole, but maybe this will help get a team chemistry a lil better. Or not.

Without any knowledge of his exact problem, the most likely scenario would be that of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) (thickened heart muscle walls). The condition is fairly common (~1 in 500), could be screened with an EKG and confirmed by echo. It is often an asymptomatic condition, but is the most common cause of sudden cardiac death in athletes.

If he were found to have HCM, unfortunately, he would be restricted from all moderate- to high-intensity sports.
