You know more about UT bball than me, so you should be able to answer.

Before Crews got suspended, hadn't he improved his midrange game this summer?

yes he has been working a lot on his midrange game, he has slimmed down also so hopefully he will be able to knock down some mid range jumpers and draw his defender out and take his man to the hole and throw it down like i expected of him coming out of high school... C-Lo will have a lot of open threes this year

Yes. He's also trimmed up since the summer and looks a bit quicker from what I've gathered.

Looks like you've got everything covered, popcorn. How many games are you attending this year?

That sounds amazing, because I need to ask: is it just me or did Crews NOT seem like a fluid, natural athlete? I'll be honest, behind Ramar Smith, he was my favorite recruit of the last 5 years. I want him to be a Pippen-esque swingman. Will him trimming down make him seem like a better natural athlete?

As much as I know about football, I concede that you two own me in bball. Honestly, outside of hat, I would consider both of you the best sources on UT BB.

Most definitely. Back in high school he dominated because of his quickness and athleticism. Putting on about 17 lbs took away some of that quickness and balance he had during his Bethel days.

From what I've seen of Tyler, he looks like the type of athelete/player Duke should strive to be.

And I guarantee Tyler is going to have some HARD dunks this season. Think the way Ramar dunks it times 10.

I think Crews can evaluate his game to the way Julian Wright did for Kansas.. he was a 3/4 man. who will play the 3 in the NBA! ive always seen a comparison in them.

Julian Wright never had a good 3 pt. jumper, but had a good mid range game, so that's what makes them alike.. along with their Freakish athleticism, and their good arm-span!

What will be our downfall in March? Lack of size on the defensive end?

We still don't have any monsters down in the post, but we'll be bigger this season than we were last. We replace Dane with Tyler, which will give us more size and defensive presence and improve our halfcourt D (less helping out needed). I also expect Prince to be a pretty good rebounder and skinny yet versatile defender (inside and out).

I just didn't see the freakish athleticism out of Crews I expected to see. I don't ever see Crews as being a go to guy in the half court offense. He should get most of his points off fast breaks (beating his man down the floor) dunks and offensive rebounds. I think with this team he is an 8 to 10 ppg guy.

If Duke really has lost 17 lbs he could become the type of player everyone saw in high school. He was thrust into the position of low post where he was vastly undersized most of the time. I'm sure going down there day after day will eventually take a tole on you, so hopefully with the help of Brian Williams and Tyler Smith he can be more effective on both ends of the court.
