Can you make a dent in the SEC if you don't have a quarterback who can run to get at least 5 yds? Say what you will about Tebow, but he could fall down from a standing position and get 5 yds. A 3rd and 2 or 3 just tears us apart. It's always get the punter ready. Did you see Tua? He was hurt and still ran for a touchdown! Why can't our qbs be ready to run? Mix it up, do something different. We are destined to be bottom dwellers unless we have an answer for those things. I know I am simplifying it too much but we seem to miss the simple things that keep your KYs, SCs and Missouris going strong.

Hopefully any QB is always a threat in a duel, however having a dual threat QB in a dual against a non dual threat QB could be a lost duel indeed.

What do you mean "say what you will about Tebow?" Tebow is arguably the best college qb of all time. Certainly in the conversation.

C'mon man he entered the NFL and had no clue how to take a snap from center. Get out of here with that mess. He was a tight end masquerading as a college QB. UF and he had the very good fortune of having a wonderful cast of playmakers around him bailing his average arm and accuracy out. The guy was as fierce a competitor in college football as we will likely ever see, GOAT as college QB? Get out of here with that mess, he wouldn't make my top 15.

There is the argument if you think the position of qb is defined by a certain set of skills or techniques or whatever you want to call it. I dont think the position is defined that it has to fit pocket passer or whatever. Similair to safety, eric berry is hof caliber, but his strength up toward the line...(really had to pick a weakness but hopefully you see what I mean). That said, Tebow played the position of QB and he was outstanding at it. He achieved more than nearly anyone, single handly took over games when needed etc. His paasing stats were actually very good too.
As far as whats around him, you could say that for almost anyone.
Tebow is certainly in the conversation of the best college qbs of all time.

Then your top 15 is extremely flawed and wrong. Tebows NFL career means nothing. In college the guy was dominant. To say Tebow wasnt an all time great QB is insane. All the great QBs had great talent around them. You think Peyton didnt? Mayfield? Come on now.

There have been a few times where JG has ran this season and picked up decent yardage. For some reason he just doesnt do it very often. No he doesnt have Dobbs mobility, very few QBs do. But JG can run decent but he just doesnt.

It's crazy. If you do a search of the greats college qb you see a variety of names...young, frazier, newton, lineart (sp?), manning, pluckett, mariota, staubauch, weurful etc. The one constant, any usually at the top...is Tim Tebow.

We really missed out big on Adrian Martinez. The kid is balling out at Nebraska

Seems like I keep seeing all the other qbs taking off and running up and down the field. My memories of JG is seeing him going to the ground multiple times. Not always his fault I know, but still...
