Anybody got a link to a list of dry counties in Tennessee?

Before you say "GOOGLE is your friend", I've already tried that.

Why is this an issue? Are you on a crusade to bust drinkers in a dry county?:blink:

Some Tennessee state rules regulating alcohol advertising are violations of First Amendment free speech rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, according to a legal opinion issued by the Tennessee Attorney General’s office.

In spite of that official legal opinion, the state continues enforcing its apparently unconstitutional restrictions on free speech

I wonder if the "dry counties" are old laws meant to clamp down on the 'shiners?

Here in CT, we have "Blue Laws" hung up on the books from the Puritan days. No alcohol sales on Sunday, and not after 9pm on the other days. Until recently, it was 8pm. Sucks for me, being in the center of the state...most of my buddies can zip to Mass, NY, or Rhode Island to grab beer late, or on Sunday. Me, i have to walk to the Moose Club 1 1/2 miles up the road to get smasharookied on a Sunday

Hell I don't know. The only county I know for a fact is dry is Moore county.

A quick fix for these problems would be for all these Neo-Puritans to just start drinking some real alcohol in church. Once you start your Sunday off with a drink, you just let it flow all afternoon.:toast:

that wiki site also says he thinks unicoi is dry... and it's not.

Just don't grow pot up there or set up a meth lab. Sherriff Harris is old school to the core. He busts up anything and everything he finds.

Wow. From one extreme of drinking a couple of beers watching the Colts to another extreme of pot growing and meth labs. :eek:hmy:...:eek:lol:

True, but you can also get it by the drink in Cumberland. I grew up in Roane Co, and they used to be dry til they had a vote on it. You talk about drama. Well, not the whole county but Harriman.

Which makes me wonder why all of the meth lab operators don't just pack up and move to Cocke County. If it's illegal, it's in Cocke County.

Yeah...I think they passed liquor by the drink in about 1999 or so in Cumberland county...
