A&M will need SEC opponents - is that why we cancelled Oregon? Hope the SEC and A&M pick up the tab if this is the case.

The schedule misinformation on the board tonight is killing me.

First, we don't play Oregon next year, we play them in 2013. THE GAME IS STILL ON. IT WAS NOT CANCELLED. It was always scheduled for 2013. It was not canceled, moved, anything.

Second, if Texas A&M comes on to our schedule, they would replace an SEC west team, not a non-conference team. It is possible that they replace Mississippi State or Arkansas on our schedule next year.

Third, when the SEC gets to 14 teams and the conference schedule goes to nine games, we will likely keep our scheduled future BCS non-conference teams and play one fewer mid-major.

Google - "chip Kelly Tennessee Cancelled". TN has not made public yet, but Kelly has let the cat out of the bag.

A&M will need opponents in the conference - simple math should tell you SEC teams cannot simply replace other SEC games with A&M.

You're wrong. Kelly came out a day later and admitted that he was mistaken.

Chip Kelly just pulled the thought that the game was being cancelled out of thin air. :eek:lol:

Oregon was probably put on notice that if the conference needed to change schedules, that game was off. The need is now there.

I found this on Tiger Droppings; however, I don't think this is legit, but interesting...

Just received word from the league office in Birmingham. Here is the Aggie's 2012 SEC Schedule:

@ LSU
@ Alabama
@ Auburn
Arkansas - Dallas
@ Florida
@ Georgia
@ Tennessee
vs. Vanderbilt

The exact dates haven't been determined yet.

If true, that's way too many away games. At least they would get Vandy at home. haha.

I guess A&M gets penalized for coming to the SEC and have to play all their SEC games on the road ?

They'll be in the west and will play all of the west teams in 2012, from what I understand. I would not be surprised to see them replace Arkansas or Mississippi State on our schedule. If they replace MSU, we'll be going there, if they replace Arkansas, they're coming here.
