And just go to "Hells Bells".

Simple.

Why do they need tell us when to get loud?

When they have the ball, that's when we should get loud.

Home and away.

This is not about NT, this is about Mizzou and Vandy. We should take over "The Zoo", and set records against Vandy.

For Neyland, the record is 114 Decibels, set against Ou, in a loss. I would prefer to have a win hold the record, just would feel better.

Go Vols!

"Should" means nothing. If it makes people who wouldn't otherwise be loud get loud, I'm good with it.

All it does is make people throw their hands up like idiots. It actually makes the stadium quiet till the song quits. And our stupid band needs to quit playing "V-O-L-S" when our Offense is on the field because our idiot fans get loud and our own players can't here the offensive plays.

I thought we should of ended it after last season. When a song gets old, people aren't going to keep getting pumped up to it over and over and over.

As a fan base, I think we capable of traveling to Columbia, Mo, showing up in force and take over a large portion of the stadium, get loud and enjoy an SEC win.

To fill Neyland and celebrate an 8 win season, would be a blast. To set a new record would be icing.

Go Vols!

Yes, blame our woes on offense against the band. Makes perfect sense.

Get over yourself.

You're like the liberal media only quoting half of what i said and not the full comment. It was an issue for Dobbs communicating to his Offense during the OU game with the crowd chanting V-O L S cause of the band playing. He continually had to quiet the crowd.

Here, I'll quote the whole comment this time.

Do you really think the band is at fault here? The band has been playing at games for over 100 years and suddenly it's a problem?

I get that communication on offense is important. But if it's that big of a deal, Coach 23 should #focus on telling the fans when to be quiet instead of when and how to yell "Rocky Top!" after first downs.

So you're telling me you would like the crowd to be obnoxiously loud when we're trying to get the plays in on our own turf. And yes to some affect that will affect some of the plays during the game. You've obviously never played football before.

This has been an issue for a long time. Manning used to have to deal with it too and had to quiet down the crowd. I am surprised they haven't addressed this problem by now.

Correct, I've never played football. Not sure why that matters.

I also never said I wanted the fans to be obnoxious (talk about liberal media lol). I pointed out the fact that the band has been at games for over 100 years, so quit acting like this is a new revelation.

I acknowledge the importance of communication here:

I get that communication on offense is important.

I'm saying that if you want Colts-level quiet on offense, you shouldn't be telling fans to be involved in yelling cheers on offense. Maybe set up those expectations before the season starts, instead of saying "Hey, when we get a first down, do this cheer!"

Don't want the fans to be rowdy? Don't encourage it.

Edit: Typo

I hate it, but if the players and recruits like it, who am I to argue it. I think this is one of those things I'll just have to suck up snd take, realizing that it is to help recruiting.

I dunno, every time I look out at the sea of fans all doing the hand gesture, it sure looks to me like they're getting into the game and having a good time -- it looks cool on TV, and it seems to get a lot of people excited during big moments. And when I attended UT-Oklahoma in person, it sure didn't seem to impact the volume at all. I even recall something about a noise record. I say let it ride.
