With Lawrence Lee not honoring his commitment, do the vols land Lauderdale, Booth and Malone?

"Three-star rising senior wide receiver Lawrence Lee of West Florida High School of Advanced Technology in Pensacola, Fla., decommitted from Tennessee on Monday, just one day after the Vols picked up a commitment three-star athlete Brandon Powell of Deerfield Beach (Fla.) High School.

Lee had been projected as a slot receiver at Tennessee. Powell is expected to play the same position for the Vols, although he’s also capable of being a running back, defensive back and return specialist.

“Officially decommitted from the University of Tennessee, the reason is NOT because of another player. Appreciate everyone,” he tweeted.

Seems like he left on good terms. Though he says Powell's comittment wasn't the reason, you have to wonder. Powell appears to be a bit more versatile than Lee. I hope we land 2 of the 3 from Lauderdale, Booth and Malone. I'd really like to get Malone since he's a TN kid, but you never know with Butch. He might get all 3 as he likes to have a high no. of WR's, but we've got to leave enough room for 2 - 3 DT's, and another LB or two, like Bates.

To further elaborate Madkins, I think we miss on Malone. We take Lauderdale, Booth, and hopefully Truitt. Canteen is the only wild card but I wouldn't say he is necessarily ahead of Booth, at least not yet. The way Booth has been pictured with all the commits while coach Jones was there I wouldn't doubt he is all but committed already

Booth is very unlikely. I think there are 3-4 WR we would take before Booth if Malone went elsewhere. I seriously doubt he is ever a part of this recruiting class.

Completely disagree. Booth is very likely to be playing for Tennessee in 2014.

If he was going to be at Tennessee, he would be on the commitment list right now. There is no legitimate reason for him not to commit if he has a commitable offer. There is a chance we swing and miss on a few players and he gets a second look, but that would be in January and I doubt we can keep Booth dangling in the wind that long.

You would be wise to roll with Hubbs on this one.

Not being negative about Lee because he dropped his commitment but at 5'10", 163 lbs, and 4.71 speed what are we losing? Not much. Hell, I ran 4.68 my freshmen year and I was by no means a speedster. I have a feeling CBJ and staff offered a little too early and told Lee to look elsewhere. JMHO.

4.71 is not accurate.

There are several flaws in the logic you just used, but I'm just going to agree to disagree.

With the timing of his visit, the positive 247 article, Powell's commitment, and then his decommit, it's absurd to suggest it was anything but Powell.
