I was pissed after his false start on the first series. Watched him on the next play to see what he’d do and he MAULED a guy. Helton called a run play right behind him and Richmond opened a big hole.

Was my favorite call of the day by Helton. Richmond grew a little hair on his chest yesterday.

There where at least 3 times Drew appeared to pancake the guy he was blocking.
When I got home the DVR was on the Fritz (thanks AT&T)

Very happy for Drew. Sometimes guys are just really laid back and need the right guy around to push his buttons. Hopefully Pruitt and Friend can keep him fired up and hungry. The guys has lots of potential, just needs to be an ******* on the football field.

He may start next year too as a red shirt senior, but if he continues the type play we've witnessed his first three years, his ass will hit the pine and stay there. The only reason, he sees the playing time he does now is because we have no other choice presently.

He did play better. I'll give him a pass on the false starts and assume it was because he was so eager to knock heads. But he does need to clean that up vs Mizzou
Hope the coaches aren't handing him a pass on the false starts. In all my years of watching fball, I've never seen a 3 year starter on the OL with so many false starts - makes one wonder if he has a hearing problem? Is he up to 10 on the season now? Zero excuses for these false starts and alignment penalties. Our margin of error is so slim that these simple mental mistakes can keep us from a win. We need better leadership from our upper classmen.

Some competition for that position might be a real good thing for him. Sometimes you can run faster if you're hearing footsteps.
