Drastic action needed on Ebola

They would have to be completely imcompetent to allow it. Are you suggesting that there was no reason to lock down that apartment?

I'm saying that the deputy has a brain with free will and the police department (county) has access to protective gear. Blaming the CDC is shortsighted.

If indeed, that is how it went down.

There really is no way to spin it that doesn't involve gross incompetence by the CDC.

I'm not dismissing that the CDC could have acted in a more efficient manner. However, absolving the deputy of responsibility for his negligent actions is silly.

Funny, the media knows we are screwed but they keep reporting everything is fine....

Hot Mic Catches Reporters Talking of Ebola Doom - YouTube

LOL.. These media puppets really have no clue how "screwed" this country really is.

The "media puppets" are working overtime to try and condense as much fear into each episode. They are now doubling down on the scariness.

So a FB friend of mine has bi-racial children. She posted suggesting that the aid workers from the US who contracted ebola were treated immediately with a cure but this guy wasn't. Conclusion? She wondered if her non-white children would fare as well as white kids if they get ebola.

Racism is everywhere people.

Turns out that the hospital didn't have the medicine stocked (none do) since it's not FDA approved. As soon as Duncan was diagnosed, the hospitals MD's requested the FDA to release it under the compassionate use waiver. By the time he got it, it was too late - he was already crazy sick after being sent home for days..

The other people who received it had better care - sooner and the caregivers had more time to get through the red tape of the FDA.

I don't believe for second Duncan didn't get the experimental drug because he was black.

yep - of course. The poster admitted later she didn't follow the story just saw that the black guy died.

I just thought it was emblematic of the "jump to racism" or the "ism" of the day mentality we are living in.

Not to wax too philosophical here but it seems we are more cynical and blame shifting than I can ever remember. Sad state of affairs.

I think the right thing to do is ban the CDC. After that consult the VN Ebola experts on how to deal with it. Because according to some of you the CDC has no clue what it's doing. But some of you obviously know much, much more than trained professionals.

Ordinarily you and I disagree but I thought you would find this funny because I did. A few friends of mine are convinced that Ebola was created by Satanists to destroy Christians. And before you say it, yes they are serious.

Saw an interview the other night with a girl that works for the drug company and she said there simply was no more. Experimental drug, small amounts available. Said it would take several weeks to "grow" more.

Dey best chop chop.

Sh\t is getting to pandemic status. Of course, by the time it gets to SWFL, there will be a full fledged zombie outbreak.

My friends think it was created by TPTB to cull the masses.

Which theory is more believable?

You guys need new friends.

My friends are the big picture type, more than a few sitting in their offices sweating about which quarterback to start, which running back to bench and hif the Buc's defense will be able to stop the Ravens on Sunday. You know, real life and death stuff.

You know, not everything that I post is 100% serious.... Right?
