I'm really starting to like this Frieden guy. He seems legit.

The public outrage against this idiotic and selfish nurse, who was told not to get on an airplane and then did, anyway, is pretty big in my little corner of the world.

It's a joy to read this thread everyday. To read all the posts from infectious disease specialists and Ebola experts in here gives me so much to laugh about.

We make as much or more sense than the Director of the CDC.

You can't catch Ebola on a bus but you can give it.

Not really. You people can continue to hate on the CDC all you want but no other agency, group or people have the expertise and ability to handle this outbreak. When this outbreak is finally subdued, one of the main reasons will be because of the efforts of the CDC. The main reason this outbreak has spread like it has is because people have ignored the advice of the CDC.

But please by all means continue to make fun of people doing their best to deal with this outbreak.

Simply trying their best is not reason to be immune from criticism

One of their biggest mistakes is these patently absurd proclamations that do nothing but undermine their credibility - which is completely counterproductive

I'm sure the CDC is or was a top notch organization but as with every government agency over the last 6 years it appears incompetent bafoons have been put in charge.
