Anyone else heard anything about this game? Looks like it could be good. I figure that Ill pick up a rental and try it out once its released. Could be a costly fall/winter with MW2, AC2, God of War 3 and this coming out.

Wonder where the closest plasma donation center is to me.....:)

It's made by the Mass Effect creators - Bioware. I loved Fallout and ME too - but not as much as Oblivion

I stand corrected. I read this at Gamespot and must have gotten Oblivion confused with Neverwinter Nights or something.

Dragon Age: Origins is the upcoming fantasy-themed game from our friends at BioWare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Electronic Arts and the Canadian studio responsible for such role-playing games as Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and Mass Effect.

I am going to try this out for the pc, I think I will enjoy it more on the PC than I would on either console

I'm thinking about picking this one up. From what I've read it's a very, very lengthy RPG and it's Bioware so it's pretty much guaranteed that it's good. I'll be picking up the Xbox 360 version, I've never been, nor will I ever be a PC gamer. For now, I'm going to finish up Borderlands and start working more on Forza Motorsport 3.

I just finished the Ballad of Gay Tony, awesome DLC. It saddens me that it's the last one. I already very much anticipating GTA V.

I might give it a shot sometime, but for now I have MW2 and a bunch of older games to keep me busy, and in the Spring I will be all about Mass Effect 2.

I got this game on black Friday for cheap but just started playing it two days ago. It's pretty fun so far. Still getting used to the combat since I'm not really good at utilizing my party members yet. I've just been hacking and slashing.

Bought it and finished it a while ago. It is worth a rent at least. The story does tend to drag out a bit as even the main storyline is very lengthy. I think I've heard like 80 hours plus of total gameplay. As a company who is known for great stories like KOTOR and Mass Effect I was a bit dissapointed in the storyline. They used a lot of dungeon and dragon/WOW crap cliches. Feels like it was a little rushed. But I still enjoyed it.

do you get to determine what path your character takes like KOTOR and Mass Effect? or is the storyline progression more straightforward?

There is the storyline that you pick at the beginning that lasts around an hour. Then it goes straight to the normal storyline with npc's acting towards you according to your origins. There are a lot or moral choices to make but they have no overall effect on your character like KOTOR. The choices towards the very end of the game have an outcome on which ending you get. You will not be labeled as evil or good. You just choose stuff you say.

It's worth playing at least once if you enjoyed KOTOR. It is similar in gameplay to KOTOR imo. The problem is you feel like you've played all this before. I think the universe they created is understandably just not as deep yet as say the elder scrolls universe.

It's also pretty tough difficulty wise just fyi

Also why not just import the Mass effect convo system for this game? Seriously we should be able to hear ourselves talk in this day and age.
