Good grief. Butch was so terrible.
CJP has worked hard trying to rebuild the relationships with HS coaches in TN...hosting camps for them, coaching clinics etc. We need these HS coaches trusting that their best players can get the best start at UT....not elsewhere.
Even with crappy QB play for nearly all year ....could you imagine having Jefferson and Higgins here last year??? They would have both started and had JJ and company as rotation receivers. Maybe even JJ in the slot... and that is just the WR. If we had all 8 of those NFL players, we would have surely won the east. Regardless of who played QB. Our defense was pretty solid already, and we have 2 SEC running backs for the 1st time in a while. We have 2 more youngins coming in this season at RB, and 1 of them will be a goal line bruiser instead of having to use our starting LB. We also have 4 good LB coming in this year. We will be young but solid on defense. Our class from 2021 only has 3 star players from TN so far, maybe 1 of them is a 4 star. The time is now after we have raided AL for 2 of their best players, we need to sign those 5 stars and high 4 stars from Tennessee. Hope to see it soon.
