So did this guy and he turned out okay.

Atleast forest didn't run with his arms to his sides.. I really hope drae doesn't run like that all the time.. Hopefully he was just messing around in that practice video.

Chaney or Hinshaw indicated that UT had 6 WR's ready to go Friday. He didn't say who the other two were past the four listed on the depth chart.

They will all play this year. It's a matter of playbook, not talent. Will probably see Croom tomorrow and might even see Drae, according to how game goes.

Hunter, Patterson, Blanc and ZRo are listed on depth chart. Blanc was EE so he has better understanding of playbook. Just cause they are listed, doesn't mean they will be only ones playing. Also, its good to not have to rely on Freshman and give them time to get adjusted.

Based on what has happened in practice and with injuries the receiving corps for tomorrow's game should look like this...

Hunter, Patterson, Dallas (deep threat)
Blanc, Carter, Z Rogers (possession receivers)
Rivera, Bartholomew (short yardage)

Neal, Young, Lane (out of backfield) screen and over middle with lot's of YAC.

Croom, Howard are not playing due to hamstring and toe injuries...Howard is expected back next week...Croom is day to day...probably by Florida game.

Bowles...not sure his status.

Bowles will be a baller. He just needs to learn the play book better. THis is what SHOULD happen in the SEC. Dont worry about him, Croom, or Pig. Def some ballers in that group. WRU isnt going away anytime soon.

He does not know the play book. He is a little raw given his hs offense. We'll c him later in the year. Saw him at D1. He is going to be good. Give him some time. Vols are not depleted at wr

This is what I read. Seemed like there was no chance Croom would be out there.

I was just going by the video of hinshaw, which I believe was from the practice Tuesday or Wednesday. He just said he could go if needed.

247 had an article up about this two days ago. You're correct, Hinshaw noted 6 WRs would be ready to step in, but he said Bowles would most likely NOT be one of them. He said it was a "learning curve" issue. I'm assuming that means assignments, playbook, etc.

You're correct about Hinshaw's quote, which was on Wednesday. He said Croom hasn't seen a lot of reps as of late due to the injury, but he thinks he'll be available "if they need him."

That contradicts Dooley's statement from Tuesday (said Croom was doubtful).

I say put him out there if you think he can go and you're not getting production out of the second string.

guys guys this isn't years past teams where the freshman HAD to play we finally actually have depth on a team for once took years to get it back there but DD finally did it

Well true in some cases, but OTOH the WR position may be different.

We will lose Rodgers, have lost Rogers, lost Arnett, moved and then got back Dallas. Hunter is a probable NFL flight risk after the year and CP is conceivably.

If CP leaves, that would leave us with Dallas (who was xferred to D) and 3 FR who were redshirted. One true FR coming in off a season ending injury and maybe another. That does not sound like a "win the east" type WR core for 13'. I don't see Dooley taking that risk.

Most likelt they all play as much as he can get them on the field this year. We need to see what they can do and build experience for next yr. Were not out of the "thin" woods quite yet around here.

Bowles Baby!!! Can't wait to see my cuz play lol.

It's a little cheesy but didn't think I would see a Bowles on the field unless my son makes it one day. Just not a common name or spelling.
