That was a pretty interesting and accurate read.

He really is at a cross roads...I am hoping he chooses the right path.

He and Bryce are huge for us, if they can accept the coaching change and keep working hard they will be our best players by far on their side of the ball the next two years.

That's a good article and I agree with most of it.

I am hoping for big things from him this year.... it's all his if he wants it.

Not a big fan of the old DC, big fan of the new DC.

I think the new DC will make JJ into a superstar. Truly believe that if JJ keeps his nose clean he may win the Heisman one day. He was playing at the level of most Juniors and Senoirs last year.

I knew when he HIT that wr for fla. and knock the ball loose in the end zone he was special:aggressive:

Jackson plays bigger than 6' 180.

Oh I agree! I remember the "hit" he put on the SC reciever (not sure who). He looked like he just stopped and bumped him out of bounds, but the reciever flew back like 5 yards.

<-Big fan of JJ!!!!!!

I think we will see JJ as a leader by example next season - experiences like he went through will change you one way or another. Does anyone know how his off season workouts are doing? If he is a little bigger and stronger he can be a punisher!

we desperately need Jackson to stay clean and have a big season for us next year...this defense has potential and I am confident we will be solid if there are no off the field distractions...

One of the highlights of the season IMO. He straight up laid the wood and saved a TD. The fact that it was James was a bonus.

Add the fact that it broke Tebow's record of a TD pass in every game and its a double bonus.

JJ's got the tools to be great but he shouldn't be compared to EB, at least not yet. And after the off the field troubles from november, he's got to do a whole lot on and off the field before we can start talking about him like Berry. He's got to prove himself bigtime to get that scarlet letter off his chest, to me at least.

Premature statement right there.

I agree. Verdict is still out.

I think BB wil have his work cut out for him this year if he plans to get the starting job. Tauren Poole is a sleeper and he may get a chance this year to prove that. to many good backs to say one is gonna be the starter right now. Maybe after O&W game we can lean one way or the other.

I do strongly feel as if JJ is gonna be mentioned as one of the all time Volunteer greats if he continues on the same course and keeps out of trouble.

5* on JJ's scouting report is very accurate imo.
I watched every single snaps of UT games on TV last fall and one player that stood out the most (out of nowhere) was JJ. anytime I said "who the hell is that??" after a play, then there was #15 on the highlight film. even as a freshmen, his presence on the field was almost comparable to the great EB imo.
too bad he missed 3 games due to his off field issues. if he didn't he could've been freshmen all-american or all-sec.

JJ did get caught sleeping just before the half in the bowl game which pretty much negated a big second quarter for the Vols. I do agree that he appears to have the talent to make an impact in big games and potentially at the next level.

Thanks for the video.

yeah he made a terrible rookie mistake right before the 2nd quarter ended. but he did have an interception and a 30 yard return, which later lead to a touchdown in the 2nd quarter.

Janzen Jackson -- I have one question for anyone that watched the video of the robbery. Coach Douche Bag and the media claimed that JJ didn't know what was going on that night and that he was inside the store. The video doesn't back that up or did I miss something? I believe he had to know what was going on and he probably should have been at least suspended for the remainder of the season. So I have a real question on whether he needs to be part of this team.

I didn't see an article about JJ in that link. It appeared to be about Masoli. Did I miss something?
