Dr. Lou's Advice for UT

Another idiot liar against UT football. What would he know with all of that coaching experience ?

Well, he knows ND will be playing for the national title perennially. Coaching experience must be worth its weight in gold in the prognostication arena. It's almost worth mentioning in the same breath as a vaunted UF diploma.

The doc says hes known CLK since he was 2 yrs old. Said he has great parents and he is a good person and will be succesfull at UT but not this Saturday. I guess he is another Phil hater cause he never said anything good about Tenn when Philly was here.

well, south carolina fans usually dont tend to do that...

More proof of the conspiracy to bring UT football down by using facts. Lou must be working with May, Rome, Mike and Mike, and others. Why isn't Congress involved ?

Did I say anything about "conspiracy" you idiot? I was merely pointing out poor journalism. Do they not have schools in Florida or something? Is what I wrote literally that hard to understand?

Less time trolling.

More time figuring out how not to be unemployed.

Get off our boards.

Edit: I, for one, like Lou Holtz. I think it's hilarious how ESPN has embraced him. Missed the segment though.

Agreed. I hate predictions or boasting about what I know will happen, because I don't know. Apparently, prognostication, with a hint of mocking and degradation, is only accepted if it comes from a college coach with ZERO experience and/or accomplishments.

And yes, we are concerned about the latest diploma rankings. But, it will be fun when UF grads are singing "We Are The Boys..." at grad schools like Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, MIT and even UT , next year, on the first day of class. Pretty sad when UT professors have to illegally phone a business school applicant when he's visiting another post-grad program...

. . . and sometimes attempts at high concept humor fall flat.

I do not think he meant Kiffin needed to recruit better than he had been recruiting, I think he meant that the game will show that Kiffin will need several recruiting classes to close the talent gap with UF.

I think he was just spewing out things that are required to be successful and recruiting is one of them. He didnt bring anything new to the table, just regurgitated old stories and said oh yeah to be good you have to recruit and coach. He didnt bother to really look up any info.

Lou Holtz makes it easier to hate ESPN.. Lets hope he's right about Saturday, just like he was right when he picked Notre Dame to win the national Championship. I appreciate some of their opinions on our future.. I totally agree.. But enough is enough.. They've beat this dead horse into the ground. Saturday can't get here soon enough. GO VOLS!!

Geez, he's like Harry Caray...needs a mouth umbrella...
Too far.

Harry Caray is / was heads and shoulders above Lou in commentary.
He singulary made the 7th inning stretch interesting and he was in Bud Man commercials.

Besides, Mark May has stolen old Harry's glasses and is trying to make people care.
Leon Durham is rolling in Ron Powlus's grave.

I have to say I find Lou Holtz Entertaining. He shouldn't take quite as many swiggs from tha flask in his coat pocket during commercial breaks though. On second thought, maybe he should take a few extra, I bet it gets better swig by swig...
