The only thing more retarded than a Doyel column is reading the commentators, like the genius who thinks that UTK is raising tuition to pay for it's football coaches.

So based on his football hires, and based on using the Pump brothers to confirm that Grunfeld was right that Pearl was a great candidate, Mike Hamilton is a liar? He pretends to speak candidly but in fact he is acting out of malice?
He secretly hated Fulmer? Who could think that way? An anally compromised Fulmer lover who is still wincing from his dismissal might see malice. If you examine the facts regarding Fulmer's firing and the firing of Majors you cannot possibly conclude that Fulmer received anything like the malicious and underhanded treatment in his dismissal that he orchestrated in ridding the program of his mentor.
In case some of you have a short memory, Doyel is a Fulmer apologist, who called Pearl a bad hire before any of the scandal came out and who hates the Pump brothers...in fact I wonder if Doyel is a regular poster on this site who guest blogs?

Doyel also ignores statements that Hamilton has made like telling the media that Kiffin told him he would be interested in the USC job. Why would a disingenuous person do that? If he wanted to make a case that he was inept he should start with Raleigh...
Hiring Kiffin who brought in lots of top recruits and who had a very competitive season despite being decimated by injuries (our third string MLB against Ole Miss hurting us the most) was not the failer Doyel predicted. Is Doyel taking credit for knowing Kiffin was going to leave for USC? If he had that kind of prescience he would have started applying Rogaine in 6th grade and he would be a wealthy stock analyst not a hack entertainment/sports writer.
If there are people on this site who hate Mike Hamilton and who want to provide evidence that he has been lying or acting out of malice I would like to hear the accusations.
The only people who have to my face claimed that he lied about anything are older men who give money to the school who were angry that Eric Berry changed his mind about the black jerseys.
