Many of these were let go. CBJ is recruiting speed and some of the LBs did not fit. I am actually good with the people he let get away so far.

I think we will take 20-22. Butch is not going to let our recruiting ranking drop out of the twenties. It would not look to good and there are plenty on good players which are still looking around. Thigpen is suppost to be pretty effective.

I'll say it again. We will try to sign 25 players if possible.

This numbers argument is pointless.

The scholarship numbers will slowly but surely work themselves out by the time fall comes around.

I agree this is the dirty side of the game/business. However in both cases they don't just yank a scholarship away and make the kid pay his own way. If the kid is any good either case ends up with the kid playing ball under scholarship at another school.

I wonder why he hasn't declared yet... I think most folks indicate the belief is he will basically have too, but I haven't seen any word of it yet...

One thing that apr has done it has made schools work hard to find other fits for kids when they leave. Apr takes a much lighter hit if the kid that leaves attends another 4 year school. That's why schools are helping push their kids to other institution so that their apr score is effected very much.

Really. I don't remember UT signing their quota in the last 4 years; and with attrition, how is that? That many jucos on scolly?

after the dead period these guys will make up ground...under the circumstances a top 20-25 class would be a win for this year

Because he was a big wuss in high school....maybe he is manning up? I doubt it though. I never see him starting
