Hubbs said tonight that he has spoken with someone at UT and with the Douglas family. Aaron plans to remain on the team and is fully expected to participate in spring practice.

Aaron has met with Dooley this week. He is still going to class and has been attending the workouts.

The fact of the matter is, Aaron has not been charged with anything and not one single rumor out there has been confirmed by UT administration, Knoxville journalists, or the Douglas family. Until something is confirmed for sure, we should probably hush about all the rumors that are out there.

Very good news for both Aaron and the Vols. He will be the anchor to the OL for the next 3 years.

Good man LV, let's hope for the best and that he can straighten out whatever needs to be. Thanks for burning the midnight oil!

Thanks for that info LV......I feel better already. You are 100% correct in what you say. We need to let Aaron and his family work this out, and hope that any mistake that was made by a "kid" doesn't turn into a trend. He comes from a good family and we need to support their efforts.

Still praying for them but glad to hear that things look positive for now. We certainly need him!

As a football fan, I'm glad to hear that we'll have such an important part of our offensive line back. Still, I really hope someone can shake this kid into shape.
I find it embarrassing that two of the biggest wastes of talent at UT in the past decade have been kids from Maryville. If Douglas does in fact blow this thing, he'll be just a notch above Hilsher.

I would say that Douglas' ability to get off of the practice squad would put him several notches above Brad Hilsher. He was a waste of space for sure.

I was referring to his potential. He would have definitely made it off the practice squad if he had ever gone to class.
Now Douglas has an endless amount of potential. Millions of dollars are staring him in the face. He's just got to focus on football, and less on running a drug lab.

Ah, the rumors that were , but possibly never were. I still think the kid has issues, but hopefully he grows up a little and realizes what he has.

I hate everybody's comments from yesterday. I know people in the rumor mill are full of crap, yet I still worry every time.

Every kid has issues. Even more so for these student-athletes who have the weight of the world on their shoulders with everyone pulling them in different directions and expecting so much from them. We can judge and criticize all we want and decide what we would do in their situation but the reality is 99.99% will never know what it is like to be in their situation.

False, LV is well respected throughout Vol Nation, and is one of the few that seems to have unbiased, solid information...he puts in work to find pertinent info, and has been the first to deliver on this site many times

That's fine, some of us don't have a Rivals account and don't really care where the info comes from as long as its accurate. I, personally, appreciate the time LV puts in to communicate on here. And people could learn from his humble response. Thanks, LV.
