Keep telling yourself a dude that won a superbowl with Nick Foles can't coach. lol
He can coach.............he has just done an awful job in Philly and his success left when Frank got his shot in Indy. I've been a Eagles fan since the early 80's and know this team is ran poorly, especially from the owner and GM position, but the "tank" had absolutely no impact on Pederson's job in Philly.

His visor game is incredibly strong.

He could also make up a trick play called the Mouses Ear Special.

Given those two factors, I think he would make a great coach here.

Can he coach how to defend a slant?
Alabama and Ohio State both had trouble stopping the slant last night. Properly executed with the right players it is almost impossible to stop.
Targeting penalties have opened the short middle of the field.
Find a different catch phrase to regurgitate, that one is stale.

I get what you mean. Pederson got complacent and started losing

It's because the good teams play man defense A LOT. Slants are a man beater

True, however tOSU played a 4-4 a lot trying to stop Bama's short middle game.
An interior linebacker can cover few tight ends, no WRs or RBs with any talent.
There is no fear of getting met across the middle any more.

Thought? It’s a long shot to get a career NFL coach especially a championship winner.
• 4 million a year salary coaching for the eagles so if Tennessee offered 6 to even make it entertaining.
• Tennessee would basically have to pull what Alabama did for Saban. Harass him like a spurned ex.
• a super bowl ring recruits better than a college championship ring since the ultimate dream is to be a super bowl champ.
• went to college in Louisiana so has ties to the South.
• Offensive minded coach that also knows how to build a complete team.
• Udder pipe dream lol but honestly became the homerun hire above freeze or Kiffin.

Here’s the deal. NFL coaching is more of managing players, college is more of motivating players. NFL players practice and go home a profession, college is more of a lifestyle. Typically, NFL coaches want no part of recruiting and the year round requirements, they like the down time off season.

I don’t know why everyone assumes an nfl head coach would do just as well in college. In college it’s really more about actual development and recruiting

I know this, NFL coaches also tend to be better at managing their organization as a whole. I can argue that an NFL experienced head coach surrounded by great coordinators can be more effective overall with program stability. You’re absolutely correct on the off time and why I called it a long shot. You would have to double the salary to even remotely entice a coach like that to consider IMO.

This is our guy. Offensive minded, former NFL QB with a super bowl ring as both a player and head coach. Played for and coached under Andy Tied. I know it's a long shot but I will not be surprised if our new AD comes way out of left field with a hire like this.
