If you don't like him, don't listen. Most of you Nagging Nellies just want to complain about something. I like the information he brings, Billy The Legend, and other insights from a real coach with some connections on the inside and not just some clueless media puke like Hyams, Adams and countless others.

I like Doug Matthews and respect his knowledge of the game. That said though, he takes longer to say nothing than anyone I've ever encountered. He talks very slow and often gets side-tracked veering away from his intended point. It's very frustrating for a person like myself who is very much a point "A" to "B" kind of guy.

Part of that is just filling up an hour on the air. That's a lot harder than you think. Especially when it's June you gotta go out and talk about the Vols when there are no active teams playing. He stopped taking fan calls for some reason, and I think that would help move the show along and make it more interesting.

Don't listen to him but I know you got that from a tweet someone made, read it earlier myself.
Something else I read in a reply was this was Doug's next sentence. "But they could hire him tomorrow though and I wouldn't be surprised".

Sounds like he was just saying he didn't know and someone only quoted part of it. Intentionally, I'm sure. Easy to get a rise now that everyone can react instantly on social media.
