Doug Mathews: "I think Coach Pruitt likes the way his staff is, I think he is comfortable with everyone there. I have never believed Tee Martin was seriously considered at any time to join this staff."

The only thing that he should be able to predict with confidence is the fact I will not listen to his show anymore.

Don't listen to him but I know you got that from a tweet someone made, read it earlier myself.
Something else I read in a reply was this was Doug's next sentence. "But they could hire him tomorrow though and I wouldn't be surprised".

Sounds like he was just saying he didn't know and someone only quoted part of it. Intentionally, I'm sure. Easy to get a rise now that everyone can react instantly on social media.

Yep.
The hire of the OC was probably 95% done also......5% raised its ugly head.
Some need to understand that 5%

I read an RTI article on his 95% quote.
It quoted him as saying
"UT deciding on who it wants, that part is 95% done"
Not a contract or whatever being done.

Haven't ever heard his show before, don't know if he riles people up or something but appears there's a group intentionally misquoting him regularly. But I'm not in a place to say for sure since I really don't know.

I like Doug Matthews and respect his knowledge of the game. That said though, he takes longer to say nothing than anyone I've ever encountered. He talks very slow and often gets side-tracked veering away from his intended point. It's very frustrating for a person like myself who is very much a point "A" to "B" kind of guy.

Oh I know.
I was just surprised when I read what he really said vs what some of the posters here claimed he said. Even when I posted the article with the real quotes, several (not you) chose to ignore.
Human nature is a curious thing.

Funny thing is that I was listening to his Sunday show on podcast Monday and he clearly names “Martin” as being on the current staff. This was 2 days before it broke. I started it over and listened closer and he clearly says Martin is on staff. I wondered at the time if it meant anything or if it was a slip.

Attacks??? What constitutes an "attack"? It is criticism. Whether it is valid or not is another debate. But recognize the difference. You label it like it is terrorism. Good grief. Your myopic mislabeling is why no serious discussion can take place in this soft society these days. Disagree if you want but stay level-headed.
