I believe you have a fairly narrow view of experience.
I think a coach who has been coaching HS football for 30-40 years and doing it very successfully would have quite a bit of experience that could be applied to the collegiate level. Leadership of any type is a people game. He could not win like he does if he was not skilled at relating to players and teaching the game.
I think CJP has been around a few good HCs. He has to have some idea what he's doing.
Surely a coach who was a face of the university athletic department for 17 years and worked directly for and with the AD would have a decent sense of the AD's role.
I’m not accusing him of anything. I said IF..........THEN. I’m FAR from the only person who has discussed the possibility. I’m guessing you didn’t read any of the posts that were created in the other two threads after Matthews gave updates???How you gonna prove he knew Fulmer was lying to him?
Your not claiming his source gave him bad info (which happens everyday and everywhere) you re accusing him of actively lying.
Ive been around here long enough to not let the mob turn an "if" into better possibility for me, Lol. just because they believe it. Even tho theres nothing but speculation to back it up.I’m not accusing him of anything. I said IF..........THEN. I’m FAR from the only person who has discussed the possibility. I’m guessing you didn’t read any of the posts that were created in the other two threads after Matthews gave updates???
You may be right. However if you think coaching in the high school ranks, even at the highest level, is anywhere near comparable to coaching in the SEC you're delusional. I'm all for bringing Propst in as a position coach to let him get his feet wet in major college coaching and then in 2-3 years visiting the idea of promoting him. However bringing him in as our OC straight from high school is a HUGE reach.
I 100% dont believe this at this point.
That’s the biggest crock of **** I’ve ever heard
@Behr it seems are recruits know who it is..?Okay, so you're saying that Yurcich or any other candidate has agreed, but doesn't want it to be announced yet because of it having a negative effect on OSU or the other schools recruiting, and we aren't "in on" anyone that would really be affected by waiting until after ESD?
You don't think an OC hire, especially a decent to good one might help draw some attention to us so we might have someone we are "in on"?
I'm just saying, if that is what's going, and I don't believe it is, then we need help.
LOL. maybe you should learn the definition of ignorant. Misspelling a word is a mistake or at worse stupidity. What would it have to due with my opinion of your ignorance?Well when you’re done you might want to research the difference between “sell” and “sale”. Especially before throwing the word ignorant out at anyone else.
Rickster. - If true - interviewing coaches who think they are interviewing for a OC position when you really just want to get information - How is that honorable? It's unethical and decitful Right?I think Pruitt is old school and is big on things like gentlemen agreements, honor, the right thing to do... We need more people like that in the world if you ask me. Its a shame that this type of moral fortitude appears to be disappearing but then I digress...
I expect the deal is done and agreement made that the announcement will not be released until a certain time. He probably gave is word and will honor that no matter what. I also expect several people know who it is and have sworn secrecy. Doug may be one of them for all we know.
