Doug Matthews just reiterated...

No it's not why we're here.
Other coaches have been let go for the game passing them by. We weren't in some giant hole that was too monumental to climb out of.
No matter how happy you were to see him go, we should have been just fine.

So we were in a hole because the game passed Fulmer by? So he was the starting point of why we’re here. Interesting.

Backended into the SEC Championship Game. It sounds so cute to say SECCG, but we lost to UF, Bama, Cal and then LSU that season. Had a four loss disappointing season the year prior, and a 5 win season prior. But let’s not deal with facts.
Fact is , if you want to point fingers Kiffen should be blamed for running off players, turning away Boyd and Petty, bringing in criminals who were either kicked out of school, or left, and leaving after 1 year which brought us Dooley. Maybe facts you don’t want to admit, but facts just the same

Maybe you don’t read good. I already established bad hires have further hurt the program, but that doesn’t take away from the where the problem started.

Lol, Nope.
There was no starting point for any of this except Hamilton and Curry.
Nothing Fulmer *may or may not have done, was a problem two years after he was gone.

My point was very simple, no matter if you believe Fulmer should have been fired or not, He has nothing to do with where we were 2 years after that point, much less over 10.

And please stop trying to twist words, I see you do it in every debate that you get into. Just argue the facts without trying to spin everything.

If Fulmer didn’t need to go, we wouldn’t be here. You can deny that all you want, it doesn’t make it less true. It’s not twisting anything. You said the words. Sorry you can’t own them.

I also wanted a change at the time but hindsight is 20/20. We should have either kept him and let things play out or picked a solid hire behind the scenes and let Fulmer “retire”.

Looking back, I believe he would have rebounded and gave us a few more solid years.

Saban changed the game and has made a lot of good coaches look bad when I’m fact if Saban were not around the SEC would be less lopsided.

I don't know. I didn't mention the fact that the '90's had us playing with a lot of high 4 star and 5 star players, and after about 2001, we were playing with high 3 star and lower 4 star players. We just didn't have the talent on the field. They may have been well-coached, they just weren't as talented as before. Without him fixing the talent gap, I don't think anything else would have mattered.

I was in favor of a change when they fired CPF, but to blame the man for a 10 yr. mess is absurd. We were spoiled in the 90’s and early 2000’s and hindsight being 20/20, imo the firing and Hamilton was a disaster. I, for one, am glad he’s back and finally have confidence that this thing is going in the right direction

Lol, of course. Every program that's fired their coaches is now a crap fest because of that event a decade earlier.

There's a saying, blinded by hate.
Like I said, it's a religion to you fanatics.

Cute. Pointless. But cute. You can’t argue against your point (since you proved it wrong yourself), so you put up a funny meme. Classic

I didn't make the point you said, I was saying from your guys point of view he needs to be fired.Because I'd already stated that wasn't going to get into the debate if he should or shouldn't have been so I just let you have that one.
I asked you to stop twisting words and instead you're doubling down on it.
The purest sign that you have no defendable stance.
Change the entire debate so that your comments make sense.

You admitted we were in a hole. As we’ve agreed upon (but you refuse to admit my acknowledgment of it), the following hires hurt the situation further. But, the bottom line is Fulmer put us in the hole. I am terribly sorry you can’t admit you said we were in a hole that shouldn’t have been hard to get out of. But you said it. Either retract it, or own up to it. It’s that easy.

2 losing seasons in 15 yrs is not a hole lol

96% of this board makes fun of UGA for two loss seasons. Consistent 4 and more loss seasons is a hole. It’s not acceptable here. If you’re happy with 4th in the East, cheer for USCe

My belief on Fulmer is in every Fulmer thread we've ever had.
I would have handled differently

"A hole" was your guys term, and because I wasn't going to fight over whether he should have been fired, I granted that one and said it still shouldn't have landed us here.

You know your changing the context because that's ALL you ever do in debates.
You refuse to stop fixating on me saying "hole" even though I only added that to avoid the firing debate.
If you have to use tactics instead of logical arguments, maybe rethink your position.

Either make a case that coaches being fired can somehow cause years of turmoil (the actual debate) or please stop responding to me.

I’m not changing any context. It’s just a simple point that you are wavering around and around. You want to paint me in some awkward position of hating Fulmer, when I’m only pointing out he got us here. Just stop trying to paint me as doing anything else. It makes you look foolish and it’s just odd. Quit pushing a different agenda since you can’t deny my point.

No need responding, he will tell you to go cheer for another team lol. I thinking of Ron White’ s famous line right now

Okay guys, let me requote the post where I use the word whole so we can end this debate

No matter how happy you were to see him go, we should have been just fine.

That's right, I said "weren't". But according to Bill, I'm the one changing the words and context.
And I should own up to saying that we were in a hole. In his every post.
I'm done debating with him, you guys can make up your own mind.

But you did allude to being in a hole. Now who’s twisting words. Good grief, are you D4H?

Lol, I "alluded to" by saying we weren't.

And now it's "alluded". Instead of "you definitely said".

Amazing I thought Richt was fired for the SEC passing him by but never thought Georgia was in a hole.
It's almost like the words have completely different definitions.

You said we weren’t in a giant hole, as if it were only a smaller hole. But hey, twist some more

I believe it is Friend. (1) It APPEARS that Freeze was blocked and everyone else turned us down
(2) The delay in the announcement is because it would hurt recruiting on offense.
Imagine a line man wanting Friend as their position coach but he is promoted to OC. Recruit may not want to wait to see who new O Line coach will be

The key word here is. "APPEARS" which seems to be a pretty popular word on here!
There is a word that doesn't show up to often and its"TRUTH"
