Wow,from a three ring circus slight of hander in BJ, to three straight pretenders as ADs before PF,to an interminable coaching search,to a 4-8 season with no SEC wins, some posters on this forum sure were expecting "pie in the sky" results in 2018 recruiting. From being ranked in the 60's before early signing to number 20 is a good achievement. No,the sky is not falling, and we must wait for results on the field to make an intelligent decision. We have excellent coaches,so let's see their on field product, before completely losing faith in them. Remember, they went after players that the other big name schools wanted as well. So we missed out on a lot and got trolled by some. Results on the gridiron start this fall. We'll see then where we stand. Until then Pruitt bashing should be relegated to the back burner.

I totally agree, a lot on here need to take a football and vol-nation break until August and give the rest a break from the whining and crying and negativity the put out non stop!

The big thing is we signed 4 O-line players and 5 big body DL players. SEC Football starts in the trenches. My only concern is lack of CB's but maybe one of the 2 DB's we signed can play CB, we don't really need 2 safeties.

I was going to create a thread titled “world’s most delusional fans” to say similar things. Lose half the team to injuries, still should win everything (like Chicago would have won their string of NBA championships without Jordan). 75% freshman starting, should play like RS Jrs and Srs. If the coaches are worth a damn, should be able “coach up” middle schoolers to beat Bama. 0-8 SEC record and only a few weeks - still manage to wind up with a top 20 class (which is a pleasant surprise given where we were 2 months ago) - recruiting sucks. I thoroughly enjoy this place, lot of witty, passionate folks. But a heck of a lot of delusion.

That would be cool if this were true, but its not.

I think CJP has done good at this early juncture. But, to be fair 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, & 2017 contain enough material to turn a man of mountain moving faith into a Doubting Thomas.

I vote for no bashing and no moronic god worship of an unknown commodity. He's no hero for taking a job that will secure him for the rest of his life if he can just last a couple of years. The fawning is tamped down a little bit from the Butch love, but you would think the entire fan base would have learned a lesson after that embarrassment.

I love how some of our fans are already jumping ship on a coach that hasn't even coached one regular season game yet.

What? You mean people are negative or doubtful? You'd think Tennessee hadn't won a championship in 20 years or something. That we had fiasco after fiaco in our coaching hires. That our current head coach had exactly 0 wins as a head coach. That our current coordinators were also extremely inexperienced. Good thing none of those are true..

Lol. Yes it is. Many on here are upset and disappointed because Pruitt didnt land a class full of 4 and 5* studs. Its like they expected him to do so. After going 0-8 in the SEC last year and a brand new coaching staff, he is supposed to come in here and kill it? Thats delusional 101.

Yep. And people wonder why others call us delusional. If Pruitt doesnt have us winning 9-10 games by year 2? Its time to fire him. If he doesnt sign a top 5 class from here on out? Welp, time to fire him. First game our DBs have a bad game or our defense gets torched? Welp he sucks. Its sad. I think some have already crowned him a failure.

Hammer hits nail... Jeremy did well to pull the #20 class considering 0-8 and the pile of $hit Butch left behind.
