Sure there is, you don't want to get any of your other QBs hurt play him in all the Backup roles (If you know for sure that he is gonna transfer).

Last I heard though no one knows if he will or not just hear say.

I was one of those interested in seeing Dormady get a look, especially after the Arkansas game. But Dobbs has really started to shine IMO the last few games. I think the OL being shored up with Hall and Jones on the right side plus CBJ taking over the WRs has really let Dobbs make some plays. I was an advocate for him to start the season last year and I shouldnt have doubted him this season.

Dormady and JG is gonna be a heck of a battle in 2017.

Agree with you about Dobbs, he has been playing winning football lately. But we may not see Dormady and JG compete if the rumors on here are true. It would be one heck of a competition...

Why would he leave? Wouldn't he have to sit out a year? Which would keep him off the field until Dobbs is gone anyway.

This is ridiculous. Dobbs gets it because he is a badass. He had some tough games but he's really heating up right now and with next year's Oline a year bigger and better he'll be unstoppable.

I'm a Dobbs fan I think he's quietly one of the most dangerous qbs in the country. But he didn't score a point in the second half against ou and threw the game ending pick. The fumble at Florida is one of the biggest reasons we lost that game. Dobbs next step is beating good teams. Something he still hasn't accomplished. That's a fair assessment.

I just don't see Butch pulling the plug on Dobb's even if Dormady out preformed him in the spring, but in saying that if Dobb's didn't complete the pass on 4th and 8 against the Bulldog's then he is our QB right now, but barring injury i don't see Dormady getting a fair shake in the spring like most of us knew going against these second tier's defense's in the last 6 game's Dobb's would light it up, i just like to see him do it against a elite Defense, now the 75 yard bomb is a start, why didn't we try the deep ball in the 4 losses i know we might have one or 2, but at least try.

Dobbs will take UT far next year. Dormady will be the starter in 2017. The only way Dormady starts any sooner will be because of injury to Dobbs.

I wouldn't count on Dormady being the guaranteed starter in 2017. There will be other QBs who have something to say about that. S. Jones, JG and Hunter Johnson.
