While the rest of college football praises our starting QB, Vols fans are clamoring for the backup.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees a problem here.

I think you're the only one who sees Vol fans clamoring for the backup. I haven't seen that in this thread

I don't think that they'll play Jones unless necessary so the can redshirt him. Make no mistake Dobbs is the man but we love our freshmen.

I bet he gets much more than the predictions in this thread. I heard they're moving him to TE. Projected to start by 3rd game.

You're the ONLY ONE who sees a PROBLEM here...specially since you seem to qualify a few as ALL Vols fans. :salute:

I know you're kidding. We need to see what he and Jones can do in live game action when the opportunity arises. Hopefully, it will be mop up duty only. But we can't count on that being the case. Chit occurs. Especially when a monster DE blindsides your QB because the RT decided the DE whizzing past him wasn't his assigned man to block.
It may be delusional but I am hoping Dobbs stays healthy and untouched in the back field this season.

Our O-Line should be better but I really don't want a True Freshman making starts behind this line.

If Dormady is doing mop up duty all season then we will all be happy as a fanbase.

If everything goes as planned this year, Dormady will see a lot of playing time.

Against Bowling Green, West Carolina, North Texas, Kentucky, and Vandy

I want to get your opinions on this. I think there is a possibility that Dormady gets thrown into some games. I am talking a couple of series a game. He is fast and could bring a different element to our offense. He is more of a deep ball thrower and tends to run downhill more than Dobbs. This is absolutely not a knock on Dobbs. I think Dobbs will have a good season. Dormady just may be too good to stay off the field. Go Vols!

He runs more downhill than Dobbs? What? How do you know? When have you seen him run better than/more "downhill" than one of the best, most dynamic running QBs in the country? Not flaming, asking an honest question. I haven't seen him run really at all given that the only "game" he's ever played in while at Tennessee was the Orange and White game and I don't recall him running in that game.

Hopefully all we'll see from Dormady this season is handing the ball off on mop up duty.

Naaah. Hopefully, he passes Dobbs by the opener, averages passing for over 500ypg, 200ypg running, no ints, spanks OU, UF, undefeated first 6 games, Heisman frontrunner, before the Pats dump Brady and work a trade for the kid.
It can always be better.:)

Bob Kesling would be proud of OP's spelling: "Dormandy throws it deep to Wolfe, to the Cheggarboards!! But wait, there's a penalty on the play. It's a holding call on Brett Kendricks."

Dormady will be the starter by 3/4 the way through the season. You heard it here first. Dude is seriously the real deal.

Are you saying Josh Dobbs gets hurt at some point? Otherwise why would the coaches pull a QB who starts the season 9-0?

I want to see Dormady play the entire BG game, so OU can't game plan for Dobbs..

Blue font.. Maybe more Aqua marine.. :)

Hahahaha! This would be awesome honestly. It wouldn't piss off just OU either. That being said if we didn't have guys playing that absolutely need the game reps with Dobbs I'd say do it.

I really believe there's a group of people that do not wanna see Dobbs succeed. Or is it starting Qbs?

Luckily they don't DECIDE things...Dobbs continues to grow and they're silent...more often. :pinch:

Well luckily they don't DECIDE things. Dobbs keeps growing and they shut up...more often. :loco:

Imagine if Peterman were still here.

After Dobbs first incompletion: Alright, Nathan, you're in. Show em your laser precise passes.
