What is everyone's thoughts on how Dormady played last Saturday? I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find it. I thought he made some really nice throws and some that would have picked off with SEC DB's. He looked like he has a live arm with very good velocity. What's your thoughts about his play and his future next year?

You may have wanted to name the thread Dormandy's performance on Saturday? Thread title looks like you're just asking if he played.

Made some really good throws. First throw was awful. Doesn't look like he will be much of a factor running the ball, but that's not necessarily a must. I did like the way he thew it when he had to move his feet a little.

Wasn't his first throw a bomb to Johnson?

Still needs to work on his pocket presence, the arm power is there but he needs to work on accuracy and timing with his receiver.

Even though I think he's going to be a starter next year, don't think he'll be as effective as Dobbs especially when CBJ like Dual Threat QBs

he can really sling it. Nice velocity. Made some really accurate throws under almost no pressure, though he did step out of the pocket and throw on the run a couple times.

And he can run too. He's not a gamebreaker but definitely can move around. I dont think there were any called runs with him in there saturday

I'd rather face Dobbs. He can definitely burn a defense, but the playcalling and accuracy sometimes can help a lot. So I'll take my chances with Dobbs. QD might surprise people with his ability.

He looked good against Tech. Would be nice to get him more reps in the next three games. But with all the injuries, I am not counting on it.

Underthrew to Callaway I believe. I want to see him let one rip deep. Everything seems to be an attempt at a back shoulder throw and not hitting the WR in stride or leading him and letting him go get it.

with dobbs being 3-0 vs ky.......why would you say this?

ky has never been within double digits of a Dobbs-led team and gave up 50 to the last 2.

insanity

One throw in particular that got me excited was the laser he threw over the middle. Can't remember who the receiver was but man it was nice. He lead the receiver perfectly into open space. He definitely has the arm to play.

Dobbs has never been this piss poor in his career vs UK either.

He looked good, just about as good as his stats: 9 of 13 for 109 yards and a QBR of 92.6.

i think sherirron jones will be the starter next yr. i think dormady transfers

Sheriron didn't get in until the last of the fourth. He didn't get to break much of a sweat.

So, if you are right, I will be shocked.

If I was making a guess, I would think if Guarantano lives up to his billing, he could easily beat out both for the start. He may be the only player not to lose his red shirt before this crazy season is over.

Anybody can look like an ALL WORLD QB when there is NO RUSH or no threat of being hit......... just look at Dobbs who went 11-12 & 3 TDs............you can not evaluate him vs Tenn Tech (that was like a glorified scrimmage)...

If Dobbs can play "his" game (run, read-option, throw to flat short passes, throw to TE short passes...) he is hard to beat.

If Debord tries to do to Dobbs (which is similar to what Cutcliff tried to do to Shuler), and turn him into a pocket-passer - the next 3 games will be frustrating. Shuler didn't have the legs Dobbs does, but go back and watch his soph campaign against UGA and you'll see a John Elway-ish type QB.
