Stoops is in the same boat as Fisher, they will take any thug they can if it helps them win games.

He'll be able to play. Of course if he came here they wouldn't give him eligibility until next year. But since he went there you can book it. Damn our Orange luck lately!

The dude is a head case... don't worry about it.

Stoops probably just introduced a cancer into his locker room.

If he lets the guy see the field, this year, ahead of some good kids who busted their tails, all spring and summer... he will lose his team. Stoops won't put him on the field, until he's put in "the work." (If he's smart.)

From what I am hearing, this may have violation written all over it. If only the NCAA had someone in charge who was competent. Mark Emmert running it is like putting a lunatic in charge of an asylum, or making a known mafia don a parole officer

Stoops stooping to sign a man with the character of beckham speaks volumes about his own character. Hopefully Butch wouldn't sink that low. The NFL frowns on and stays away from bad actors like beckham.

Cincinnati and Dallas would jump at getting him.

Wow @ the judgement. So high and mighty lol. You guys act like our players are a bunch of choir boys and then you want to criticize Stoops? Fulmer Cup, anyone? We're the last fan base to be handing out judgement.

Hmm, seems he thinks he was wrongfully dismissed from Mizzou since assault charges were never filed by victims. Therefore, he thinks he is entitled to a waiver to play this year.

Chris low just said on the radio that he thinks there's no way he plays next year.

How could he? I thought a medical hardship or somethin like that was the only way a player could do that. Not because u got into too much trouble at the last school and was kicked out.

So? He's overrated. I hope he gets a waiver ASAP so that he can create locker room problems for the sooners like he did in mizzou. One player shouldn't make the difference unless it's the starting QB. We were going to have our hands full with them b4 he came along, just as we will with him there. I see it as an opportunity for our secondary to improve before we get deep into conference play. We are going to be underdogs A LOT this year. Personally, I like being overlooked. Hopefully we will come out and bust people in the mouth and shut up some critics. Pull off a few upsets or dismantle the opponent trying. Can't wait!!! GO VOLS!!!!!

Didn't seem like those locker room problems kept them from getting to Atlanta.....

UT hasn't been thug U since Kiffin left, coincidently UT has lost seven games every since then.

Lol didn't Bonner rob Georgia's locker room on his recruiting visit? That was just two years ago. Butch has been signing good guys, but we definitely still have our share of goons.

The point is we don't have a coach that will take thugs like Fulmer and Kiffin used to sign. Therefore, your point is moot.

You don't even understand my point, so to say it is moot is moronic. My point is that UT had a lengthy and notorious history of taking problem players and we shouldn't condemn a coach for doing so. We have no room to throw stones.

So? He's overrated.

Basing this off of what? Do you even watch football or just mindlessly follow the Vols? He was one of the best WRs in the conference last year as a sophomore. Rivals rated him the #1 overall recruit for his graduating class coming of of HS.

Oklahoma is indeed trying to get him eligible for this season.

Their rationale: It's better for society that he throws the ball around rather than an innocent 18 year old girl.

We always have room to throw stones when it comes to guys that beat women. I don't care how talanted someone is, if they pull that crap then I don't want them anywhere near our university. If Butch Jones had pulled this stunt then I would be pretty pissed and would call for his firing.

As a young man I just wanted to win at all cost but as I have grown up I have to draw the line. I don't care if they are bad students but if are stealing, beating women and such, I'll pass. Then you aren't a kid with bad grades, you are a criminal and I will have to pass. That's the problem with this world, always someone willing to give you a pass if they think they can get ahead.
