Checked on the Candy message boards. Here are a few messages about CBJ and Hurd...

"Agree with the sentiment above - it is a very, VERY long time until next season. Let's see if a third straight season without a bowl (and second straight loss to us) can change his mind...."

"I still don't believe that this kid ends up at UT. Butch is facing a schedule where they will, at best, win 6 games. It is much more likely that they win 4 or 5"

"I think the early commitment is actually bad for UT. They have to defend him for almost an entire year while every other top program (including VU) pursues the kid."

"If you've listened to what Jones has said and the actions he has taken, it's a duplication of what Franklin did his first year."

Just found it interesting. I know I shouldn't even be going over there...but I am easily amused by the window lickers. Doremats.

Lost credibility when they called Vandy a "top program". Also, Vandy has a fan forum? I thought you actually needed fans for that

Why is Vandy's opinion relevant again? I can't seem to understand how they matter... at all... in sports.

Even if Vandy beats our butts every matchup for the next 20 years...we will still dominate them. It is stupid to waste our time on this.

Two things-

Do they realize we have never lost 8 games in a year and won't in the foreseeable future?

Also I hope they don't think transition lenses is going to flip a 5* RB to Vandy. That's a laugher.

Getting a commitment is bad because UT has to "defend" themselves? Haha, that was a beyond stupid comment by Vandy fan. Like coaches wouldn't negative recruit anyway. UT is home state school with commitments from his best friends that are playing D1 football, UT would have a target on it's back nonetheless. The momentum a commitment brings is huge.

I usually don't get too pumped about commits because it's only verbal, but with the evident closeness among these guys, I think these guys are all in. I think having so many legacies in 1 class is HUGE as well.

Who cares? Honestly, when you think of College Football in the state of Tennessee, you think of the University of Tennessee . Not Vanderbilt. It will always be that way.

Heck I live two hours away from Nashville and forget vandy even exist half the time. Even when Igo to Nashville I see more Vols gear then Vandy gear floating around. A hour from Nashville and that school is a after taught to everyone.

While it is somewhat entertaining making fun of a perineal loser, I think it is far more effective ignoring them. They are not even in the same class and therefore do not even deserve being discussed. Let em return back to the rock they crawled out from.

A tad obvious you're not a vandy alumnus.
